5.0 out of 5 stars A great beginner-friendly copper set
My husband and I have been on the hunt for a healthy but high quality set of pans for a while. We were gifted a Caraway set from our wedding registry but they soon started to chip and lose their appeal. We switched to using cast-iron, but then moved overseas and since we no longer have a gas stovetop we wanted something else. I have always dreamed of owning copper pans, but I was scared to invest so much money into them and then accidently destroy them in the process of properly knowing how to use them. This set is not like your typically $500-1,000 a piece set. They are not tin-lined, they are stainless steel. That means that they are easier to learn and not as expensive overall (and you won't have to get them re-tinned, which is a whole other thing). The learning curve was not bad and we have really enjoyed using them. They happened to arrive on Christmas Eve so we used them then, and it was great! If you are like me and want to have beautiful, healthy, high quality pans, but can't throw $1,000+ at a new set, this is a great choice.
5.0 out of 5 stars Updated - good pans - really pretty
The pan on the left has been used probably 20 times and has darkened significantly but we kind of expected this to some degree. The next, now chrome pan, has been used only once, the 3rd pan has been used 3 times and the 4th has not been used yet. We have always used these on low to medium heat and have always allowed them to completely cool before hand washing and drying. I am not super confident in the thickness of the copper. It almost appears they were anodized. They do heat very evenly and clean up well. Hope to hear something from the manufacturer soon419/23 Update - never heard anything from the manufacturer however Barkeepers friend….no clue what’s in this stuff but it literally turns the darkened copper to brand new looking in seconds, you can drip it on the copper and watch the run completely restore the finish to new. Our chrome looking pan instantly went back to like new and has not turned chrome again. They do age/patina a little with use but barkeepers makes them look brand new everytime. They are great to cook on once you get used to lower heat and easy to clean. Very happy with them - changing review to 5 stars. FYI we ordered the lagastina set also to compare…these are better quality and the sizes are much better, sent them back.
4.0 out of 5 stars Not for EVERY cooktop
They’re really beautiful pans and the heat distribution is even enough. I like that oil doesn't burn or overheat like in stainless steel pans, but I don’t believe they’re necessarily for every cook top surface because they began to discolor instantly, inside and out, after using in our glass cooktop. For the price, I think you can find better and more versatile pots and pans.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great set, hammered look amazing
Great set, looks amazing, great value compared to other copper sets, i prefer stainless steel interior . the copper heats quickly w medium heat - doesnt need high. grease / oil pans prior to using. i sealed exterior w protecta-clear prior to use to prevent patina since i prefer the bright look. not too heavy compared to other good quality pans. also liked the 8 qt stock pot included compared to other sets where its not included.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality cookware
The weight is good and the thickness can take quite a bit of heat. The price is pretty good compared to other steel cookware. We replaced some cephalon that the surface kept failing and had to be replaced. Just as easy to clean these as the old ones. Our 1 problem so far has been the pot lids have holes so cooking rice in them did not work.

My son loves them! Great gift
1.0 out of 5 stars ITEM IS NOT SATISFACTOY - VCIKING REFUSE TO HELP AND CLAIM NOT FROM THEIR COMPANY
I used 2 pan, small lost color of Copper and bigger shows copper in pan when cooking eggs . i called Viking company, they claim this is not their product , Bolo has contract with other company to produce this product, I am shocked to know this. There is no support for this product from Bolo
5.0 out of 5 stars This is a wonderful set if you know what you are getting
I am extremely happy with this cookware set. Heat distribution is exceptional as are the aesthetics.I have seen some of the reviewers ding it because the copper gets a patina. This is to be expected with copper and is easily cleaned with appropriate cleansers such as Barkeepers Friend. As long as you don't overheat the cookware you will have no problems.
Not recommended if planning on cooking with them
I was very happy with how they looked when I unpacked them - they were very solid and handles are well attached. I used two of the frying pans and two of the saucepans, a few times, making sure to ensure I only used low to mid temperature heat each time (as instructed). And I was very pleased with how food cooked in them. I made sure to wash and dry them immediately after cooking them (as instructed)- and I'm not a messy cook anyway, so it was more a matterof cleaning the interiors and wiping off the exteriors. However, as sometimes happens, when pouring items out of the frying pan sometimes some food dribbled down the side and onto the bottom. I always wiped it off and washed (as noted above) but some discoloration began to appear so I decided to try and clean the copper. I used the cleaner they recommended which is Bar Keepers Friend, and this (see pics) is what happened. BKF does work very well on cleaning the inside SS but definitely not the exterior. And I used the BKF that specifically mentions good for copper (they make another one that says good for tile, ceramic, porcelain, etc. Exceptionally disappointed as before finally purchasing this set I had spent ages researching different sets and reading reviews. Unless you want to use them for display purposes only, would not recommend them!
Fabulous!
Fantastic quality, love them! Worth the splurge. Was a bit worried if good was going to stick but it doesn't. They cook beautifully. You might have to adjust to cook at lower temperature because copper is a better conductor but it didn't take long for me. If you accidentally go too hot, the exterior discoloures but you can easily reverse it with a vinegar and salt solution. Just mix equal parts and wipe the pan with it. It is instantly restored :)
