5.0 out of 5 stars Covers my solid white
You can see in one photo very gray wild hair, and the other photo white frames my “do-you-want-an-ass-whoopin” face. The two other photos were taken a week and a half post-coloring. Two boxes every 3 weeks and the job is done. The color I use most often is Brown #5 and does a great job covering the white… I have a lot of hair. At 53 years old, I went gray to white very quickly and just got tired of the white and needed a change. 35 minutes on the roots for box 1 and then the second box on the remainder of my hair for another 15 minutes. Done. When I followed the advised time on the box, my hair ended up very red… that’s always been how my hair holds color… red first. So I leave in much longer and it works perfectly ending up with a rich brown. It does take a couple of washes before it looks just right to me but I get a lot of compliments from those who know me and also from those who don’t know my hair is actually white. Shiny healthy hair. I like that it fades a little over the 3 weeks and doesn’t have a hard line where the new growth is. Much better than my friends and colleagues who pay a ton of money to get their “hair did” at the salon and have a white skunk stripe down their part while waiting for next appointment… waaaaay cheaper, better coverage, and more available, as in Bolo delivers and it’s easy peasy salon hour at my kitchen sink.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome toner
I purchased medium brown 5C to get rid of the orange in my diy highlights. I have dark brown Asian straight hair. I would say this medium brown is on the darker side. I did 45 minutes applied on stubborn roots only, added more onto shaft for 20 minutes, and combed through to ends for 5 minutes. Came out perfect. I should have done less time on shaft because it is a little darker than expected, but still looks good. I had been using permanent color for a long time but hate the root demarcation so after reading an article on Demi-permanent allowing the color to fade instead of the harsh line, I’m trying this for awhile to see how I like it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Easy on fragile hair and easy to use.
The conditioner they include is magical! I think my gray hair is at the point where I need to look at something more permanent, but it has been wonderful to add a color tone to white hair so it looks like streaking.
5.0 out of 5 stars Grey hair remover!
I recently purchased this hair toner, and I have to say, it’s been a solid addition to my hair care routine! This toner provides a budget-friendly short-term solution for those pesky grey hairs, lasting about two months before needing a touch-up.PROS- Effective Coverage:The toner does a great job of blending grey hairs with my natural color, giving me a refreshed look.- Budget-Friendly: It’s affordable compared to other options on the market, making it accessible for regular use.- Easy to Apply:The application process is straightforward, and I appreciate how quickly it can be done.Cons:- Stains Easily:One important tip: be sure to clean up any spills or drips quickly! The toner can stain clothes and furniture if left unattended, so I always keep a cloth handy during application.Overall, if you're looking for an effective and economical way to manage grey hair, this toner is definitely worth considering. Just remember to handle it carefully to avoid any mess!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality Hair Dye
It’s gentle, but covers grey effectively. It’s a non-drip cream formula with no ammonia. I’m happy with the natural look!

3.0 out of 5 stars Undecided on this
This color made my scalp itch more than any other brand, even permanent color with all the chemicals. I was expecting the color to turn out much darker than it did, but my roots, which are a level 5, are still darker than the rest of my hair. I was hoping for a more neutral brown but this color made my hair pretty orange-ish. I will say that it smelled nice and it was gentle on my hair.I would give this brand another try, maybe with one of their cool or "brass free" colors.
good
herbatint was drying out my hair and going brassyi have severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and can use thisi like that it slowly washed out, no roots, way less brassy, i do wish it lasted a little longer though
Hair is soft, shiny, and natural-looking
Used this product for the first time at the beginning of the year to add natural highlights without permanently altering my natural hair colour with harsh chemicals. Crème is gentle on your hair and easy to apply. Hair is soft, shiny, and natural-looking as the colour gradually fades every time you wash your hair.
Great coverage
I really liked this hair color - lasts long and covers all your greys in one application. It's softer than most other colors I've used. Although the hair felt hard/ thick after 2 weeks, they gave a special conditioner in the box for that. I'm happy it fully covered all my greys in one box, and I had a lot of greys to cover. I left it on a bit longer than 45 minutes and it stained the top of my forehead. So if you have fewer greys, avoid keeping it for more than 30 minutes.
Gives a radish shade
Does not color well
Would buy again
Good quality, less ammonia smell than other home dyes.
