I am very pleased with my purchase of these hikers. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and have problems with my feet, (i.e. - plantar fasciitis, swollen tarsus, hammer toe, etc.). Finding a comfortable pair of shoes is hard to do given my current condition's with my feet. It seems like most shoes these days "at the store's" are too narrow. Even the ones marked as Wide width still tend to be too tight. I came across these shoes while doing a search for extra wide width hikers. I haven't had much luck ordering shoes online, but I was desperate for a new pair of shoes. These were an online special being sold for a good price. They seemed like a good pair of shoes and had good reviews, so I thought I'd take a chance and order a pair. I was glad I did because these were comfortable on my feet right out of the box. The width of the shoes was perfect, and I was happy that I finally found a pair of hikers that weren't too tight in the toe and Tarsus region's of my feet. Even with a little thicker pair of socks they still fit well. The insoles are pretty comfortable also which was another Plus. I usually have to buy extra cushioned insoles for shoes, but I don't think I will have to with these for a while. I am limited on the amount of time I spend on my feet due to arthritic pain, but these shoes were comfortable for me even after a few hours of wearing them.I have never tried this brand of hiker before, but I am very pleased with the construction and the way they fit and feel.Buying clothing and shoes online is something I usually don't do, but I think I finally got lucky with this purchase. I will definitely buy the Nortiv 8 brand again if they continue to make their shoes in the extra wide, I believe 4E?, width.I might even order another pair NOW for the future. If you are looking for a good pair of hikers in an extra wide width, I can honestly say give these a try. I don't think you will be disappointed. Happy Trails!P.S. - They even came with an extra pair of laces.

(I couldn't think of an appropriate word rhyming with 'feet'.)My quest for a new pair of boots started with an ad in my news feed for shoes that were supposed to help with diabetic neuropathy. I was skeptical. So I started looking into scientific research. This area needs far more study. But what I did find pointed in exactly the opposite direction from the ad. What a surprise, eh?What I should look for is good support and good cushioning. Seems like common sense, doesn't it? Running/walking shoes, very good; light hiking boots better.I am working with a constrained budget, and many of the name brand boots were too expensive. These looked good; had good reviews; had the features I want, including removable insoles. That last is important to me because replacing the insole is how you can adjust the fit and cushioning. So how about reviewing the boots. Yeah, it's about time. The boots fit. They are extremely comfortable. Obviously that is a personal judgement... they fit my feet. Objectively, they are warm and dry. I tested them on a 2 mile hike at 40ºF through tall, wet grass and weeds. I have not replaced the insoles as the stock one is surprisingly cushy. All in all, not just a great value, but an excellent boot. And they came with spare shoelaces.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Boots for a Good Price

I've had these for a little while now and have worn them on a a few minor hikes (a couple easy miles at a time) as well as a few times in the colder weather/snow. I recently took them out to Mount Zion for a few days of hiking. These boots took me up and down mountains, through sand, rock, mud, and water for miles on end without any issues and only show little wear. They kept my feet warm in the cold and were comfortable in the heat. I may not recommend them for "serious" hiking, but for the $50ish I paid, they were certainly worth it and didn't disappoint. My only qualm and reason for four rather than five star is because after a couple days in them, my feet were killing me....as such, new/more comfortable insoles will be a must before I trek with them again, and would be my only recommendation to others.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and durable.

Great boot even gives an extra pair of shoelaces, waterproof comfortable and lightweight, yet durable and price is amazing compared to other brands like Merrill etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good enough for dog walking.....

I bought these because we can no longer buy KEEN shoes.... they removed the comfortable round toe box. We all need to find a better replacement. These ankle boots will work. They seem sturdy enough for everyday long dog walks, for kicking around in a few inches of snow and shoveling and they're comfortable. I took them on a 5 1/5 mile walk out of the box and no issues to speak of. They will need a few more long walks to completely break in and get a bit softer.I bought the soft serve rather than the leather because I have sensitive feet, but will go back and buy a pair of leather ones when they go back on sale. The traction is not quite 4 mm and not quite as deep as the other brand shoes but it's enough to get the job done for now. I bought a half size up so I can wear very thick winter socks and that works well along with a installed 3/4 blue Birkenstock arch support. The dark brown is very dark and a nice color if you don't need to be noticed. They look very much like other brands which sell dark brown boots. They do feel breathable and not too hot. Overall, the price is good and they seem like they'll hold up for my needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price

I have a very wide right foot: EE. I also have an arthritic big toe on the same foot. I tried far more expensive boots and they either hurt the toe or were too narrow. these fit comfortably and look good.As a nice unexpected bonus these have a nice combo of cushion and support. They probably deserve 4 stars because the boot doesn't seem completely water proof but for the price they can't be beat so I give them 5 stars.

Comfort and functional

They fit well and have a good grip and not a heavy boot. Definitely glad I got them. A solid buy for the price as have had them in -30 already with no issues on warmth or grip. Absolutely no issues breaking them in either, straight on and they were good to go.

Very comfortable

Boots fit well but the first day or so don't tighten too much at the top and allow them to break in. I use them to walk the dogs in the woods and over the past two weeks that I have had them they have stayed waterproof. As of writing 24/09/24 we have just gone through some of the worst wet weather this year and they have held up well. I would suggest they are more of a late autumn\winter boot as they are very warm and I would suspect your feet would get very hot with these in the summer. The grip is pretty good but not 100% as dogs charging after squirrels have nearly had me off my feet in the slop... but to be fair 99% of people won't have that issue
