    I am using this to lift a bucket to hold dust in a cyclone dust collection system. It only has to lift the bucket about 1/2 inch to seal the system, which is only a few turns on the lift bolt. The only problem I have had is the knob is left-hand thread, and I needed to extend it 6 inches with a bolt. I think finding a left-hand coupling nut and bolt is impossible, so I had to change the mechanism to work with right-hand threads. Although it's not a problem for me, the top and bottom plates are sharp and should be deburred to prevent cutting a finger.

    I wanted it to make an adjustable bed for my laser cutter so I could bring the object into the focus point of my laser which isn't adjustable. The complete folded up height of this thing is right at the focus point of my laser so anything I need to engrave or cut is out of focus. ... I'll order a shorter one but measure first. I vastly over estimated the depth of my machine from memory.
