About this item:
The IRIS Cat Litter Box with Shield and Scoop has extra-tall walls on three sides to help contain litter and spray while keeping dirt out. Open top cat litter container provides quick and easy access, while the deep litter pan design gives your cat a semi-private space. The high-polished interior surfaces and included cat litter scoop make the litter box easy to clean. Recessed bottoms and molded-in feet keep the IRIS cat litter box in place and the molded-in rims around the pan add strength and stability to the litter box tray. The cat litter container comes with a matching litter scoop for easy cleaning, and the scoop is designed to fit anywhere in the litter pan. Made in the USA.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost everything now stays in the box
I got this to keep one cat from standing so close to the edge of the box that the poop landed on the floor. Then there would be endless scratching and litter all over the place as he tried to bury it. Problem solved with this box. And, the litter spatter is now confined to a much smaller space in front of the box entrance. I also like the litter scoop that hangs onto the side. The floor of the box is slick, so nothing sticks. But the floor has this narrow channel around the perimeter that is lower than the mid portion of the floor. I use clumping litter, so if a clump falls partly on the lower channel it tends to break up when scooped. Worse, the clump fragments are sometimes small enough to fall through the scoop holes. Otherwise, the box works well and was worth it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best option for the price
I think there are some unfair reviews for this product. If you didn't want to spend a ton of money on a fancy litter box, you have 3 options. 1. A standard litter box. No top. Pros-it's cheap. Cons - your cat will definitely kick litter out onto the floor while covering their excrement and while stepping out of the box.2. Standard box with full cover. Pros- it keeps your cat from kicking litter out. Cons - cats have a better sense of smell than we do. Imagine having to use a porta-pottie every time you use the bathroom 🤢 because that's what those are like for your cat. Also, you have to unhook the top every time you scoop. And the top collects dust, so you have to clean that too.3. This litter box. Pros- The sides are high which prevents litter from being kicked out. It's inexpensive. Easy access for scooping. The scoop itself hangs on the top. It airs out so your cat isn't stuck in a smelly porta potty. The complaint I see is that wee can get in between the top and bottom. Of my 3 cats, only 1 of them does this (my girl believe it or not), occasionally. So I take the top off and clean in between once a week. It's no different than cleaning your own toilet. All pets require a little work cleaning up after them, but so do people.I do recommend getting one of those two layer litter mats for the front so the litter on their paws goes into the mat instead.I bought 1 of these to try it. And then replaced the rest of my litter boxes with this one.
4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful affordable box
Why four stars? The top doesn’t snap to the bottom. A couple of times the cat knocked it off. I need to affix it if I want this to stop.Could drill a few holes for a zip ties. Or, use a few twisty’s left over from something else I’ve saved.Other than this for the price this is a wonderful box.Helpful tip. How I clean plastic boxes …Own tow boxes. Makes for easy swapping and cleaning.Remove dirty box. Fill clean with litter. Give to cat.Once the litter is removed rinse. Then, add a few tablespoons of bleach. Add a little water. Let sit overnight.Next day rinse. Wipe out any litter residue. Rinse again.Let dry upside down in bathtub.Ready to go for next time.If against bleach, once the box has soaked and wiped. Add a bit of white vinegar. Or, peroxide. Wipe around. Then rinse.Another option, once the box is soaked and rinsed add a bit of baking soda then a bit of white vinegar. Let it fizzle. Wipe with paper towel and rinse.I’ve had great success with plastic boxes long term with simple cleaning strategies. Keeping hygienic for the kitty or cats. This box is worth the price and its function.I’m using it for a feral cat who decided I’m his best friend. He comes inside to sleep in a large kennel at night or when it’s cold or raining. This box fits perfect in the kennel and leaves lots of room for a big fluffy bed and food plus a flat surface to chill on if he wants.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good.
Worked for the simple kitten or if you have one cat. It’s somewhat small so if you have 2 cats you’d need a different litter box or multiple.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the new kitten
We adopted a kitten from the shelter, and needed a second litter box while we kept the new cat separate from our older cat. Our older cat has a robotic litter box, but it doesn't have steps and our kitten is so small. Now that they're acclimated and out together in the house all day, but we still have the kitten use this one so she feels like she has somewhere that is her own place. It's the perfect size for her, and the walls keep her from flipping litter out all over the floor. The scoop fits nicely on the upper edge of the litter box. It's not too deep, so cleaning is easy.
3.0 out of 5 stars Crevices between the lid and box are tight enough.
Overall, this litter box is an improvement of ones that I've used for my cat before. My cat pees standing up so normal litter boxes aren't high enough and I don't want my cats using an enclosed box. The sides on this box are (could be a litter higher) so that my cat isn't peeing against a wall. I also like that I can attach the scooper to the box. There are two things that I don't like about this box. One of the things that I dislike is the way that the bottom of the box is not flat. I'm not sure what advantage that serves, but it's easier to scoop litter when the bottom of a litter box is flat. The other thing is that the top of the box doesn't seal with the bottom. So, when my cat pees, the urine goes against the back wall and through the cracks. I stick a towel between the top and the bottom so that the urine doesn't get on the floor and so that I can just wash out the towel. The height is good, but if the top and bottom separate, then there should be a seal.
Muy bien

Buena arenera. Uso y limpieza muy fácil. Se ve bonito y discreto
Surprisingly, it’s a hit!
I have five (yes, five) Ragdolls. They are big kitties and hooded litter boxes are a must for my big man Binks or he misses; I have two XL corner ones, and am slowly replacing 3 of my standard ones and getting one more finally, as budget permits. (One box per kitty plus one extra rule!)When I ordered this, I figured it would be too small, but I liked the price point and it’s hooded. I also had gift cards, so no loss. To my delight, it’s only been a few days and, legit, it’s a fan favourite!Just as the other reviews have said, the door is useless; it came off and will definitely not stand any regular traffic. I took it off, but this worked for me, as one of my cats is outright stupid (Beau) and the other is a bit slow (Edgar). The litter catcher piece is actually amazing! Their fuzzy pantaloons usually have stragglers, but this has it cut down significantly and doesn’t deter or hinder them going in like I thought it would. Like I said, they are big kitties (two are ~15 lbs), really too big for it, but they just LOVE it; if it ain’t broke! Haha.Suffice to say, I will be getting three more! Paired with the two XL corner ones I have, I have happy kitties and I’m a happy cat mom!
Loves it
Kitty loves this litter box. The opening is a little too high for a small kitten though so we put a small box under it to make a step for her.
For short and small cats only
cats barely fit inside and sometimes urine comes out from under the cover, as my cats are taller than the base!
