I've tried several varieties of black garlic in the past, but the Aaswad Black Garlic cloves are sweeter and larger than ones I've had before. They arrived in perfect condition. They're soft and savory and are the perfect complement to a meal. I like to cut them up in pieces and mix them with noodles or rice or use as an accent in salads. The texture is soft but firm and can easily be cut with a fork. This is my second order in a smaller size to give as a gift.The flavor is rather intense. It's not too garlicky but it is sweet almost like raisins. It's not something I like to eat by itself but the flavors meld well with other foods and adds a sweet dimension. Garlic is a nutrient rich super food and these are fun to eat! They have a "specialness" that I enjoy, and I look forward to including them in many more meals ahead. I think these black garIcs are absolutely delicious!!! My brother in law compared them to dates, but my husband did not like the taste of at all. They certainly have their own unique taste which I love!!!

The only regret I have is not ever hearing about black garlic before... EVER!I have always had garlic being that a stirfry a lot, but never really knew of the health benefits of garlic. I wanted to add more to my diet and know that raw garlic has added health benefits to cooking them. My attempt at eating raw one was a pretty horrible experience, my tongue is still screaming at me for that. I then bought some pickled garlic, which I like, but it does remove allicin, which is something that I feel I need to have. So I opted to try these black garlic. If anyone would have handed me one and not tell me what it was, I would not have guessed it was a clove of garlic. The sweet flavor is something I was not expecting at all. It was so good I ate an entire garlic in one sitting. I am so pleasantly surprised by this, and think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread! I love this stuff!!

Excellent product
Each clove is its own whole garlic head, about the size of a large cherry tomato.The flavor is exquisite, buttery in texture.It almost tastes like licorice but waaay better. It also has some very impressive health benefits. The price is very reasonable given that there is a count of 17. There are recipes available online for use in baking, dips and cooking. To pop one in your mouth is very enjoyable too.

So-oo delicious!
I only discovered the delights of black garlic about 8 months ago, & these, I have found, are the best. Soft, sumptuous, full of flavour, fabulous in hot or cold dishes. The wonderful caramel taste is just mouthwatering, & I often find myself going into the container, breaking off a couple of cloves & popping them in my mouth. Heaven!
Nice subtle flavour
This is one complete bulb, not segments that most people would be used to. The bulb is it self, soft and tasty and has very delicate fragrance and taste. I tend to eat one a day whole and enjoyed it very much. I do not stink of garlic after as you might assume. A nice product and the plastic jar with lid is handy as it can be used for other stuff when finished.
