5.0 out of 5 stars Better than JBL Flip 5&6. And 1/2 the price.
This is a no brainer: louder and better sound than JBL Flip 5 and 6s (which I have a number of)—and at just over 1/2 the price.I could max out the volume on my JBLs in the kitchen or home gym and they would not be too loud. The W-King gets too loud for me at just over 1/2 way to its max.The sound is crisper and punchier than JBL Flips. One should have realistic expectations about bass from any 7-inch long speaker, however. This one is no different than others and is fine for its size.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweighr and easy to carry around
This little speaker is amazing. We have a small house and you can hear the quality of the music all through the house. The speaker for phone calls is ok. Not the greatest sound but overall it does what need a to be done. Its very easy to use and easy to connect to. We enjoy thestrap on it. Makes it easy tocarry. Our son uses it to attach ro our lawn mower while hwcuts the grass. Its very good for the price. Qualiry is amazing. Battery life is ok if not played on highest volume setting for ling periods of time. Overall we love this speaker
5.0 out of 5 stars Loud, crisp, and rich lows, well balanced sound for the $
I’ve owned 2 JBl Bluetooth speakers, 3 other Chinese Bluetooth speakers from vtin and oontz. With a promo I paid $35 for this w-king 30w speaker. Other than a larger than expected form factor, this speaker is the best speaker under 40$. With a scooped eq the highs are 8/10 mds 7/10 and lows 6/10. The lows are great but not boosted which gives this speaker a warm full balanced sound. You will feel the bass resonate deep and rich unlike other speakers that claim their passive woofers create bass, this one does probably from of the larger size Enclosure. When using an aux input, there is very low latency, so no delay when watching videos. This speaker will fill a large room with ease. I’m very impressed with the value of this speaker. I imagine the 50w version is every bit as good as this one but louder.Negative hits: cheesy looking large logo, thin rubber feet padding, no volume sync.
4.0 out of 5 stars Compact, good sounding speaker. Not as good as the D9 though.
Got this and the D9 as well. Was thinking of keeping both and using the D8 as a stereo pair after testing the 1st unit. Got the D9 in the mail first and have been rockin it constantly til the D8 arrived. TOok it out of the box, paired it and put it back in the box with in 5 minutes. Not because it was bad but because it just wasn't as GOOD as the D9. Yes 30, watts vs 60 watts is not fair but the sound quality of the D9 out shined the D8 in a big way for me.Can't comment on battery life or water resistance. I really like the W-King products and would recommend them. I am looking at other 30 watt wireless speakers to make a stereo pair with. At $50 a piece I have seem better deals for (2) around $70. One is triangular and the other is cylindrical. I am leaning toward the cylindrical ones at the moment but the D8 might fair better with placement when using as they are square so they will sit better then a round one.BTW, I also got the iHome iBT372BG. It was $70. Sure it has the cool LED light but the sound quality was not good for me. I really like the compact case and it can go anywhere but it just doesn't carry enough bass and I don't like the EQ curve. This all started with the iHome IBT371BGC. This little speaker sounds amazing for its size and has great bass response and I highly recommend it if you can find it for a good price. It's going for $60. Why did I start searching for something since this is SO GOOD? The two faults with the IBT371BGC are it's not a summed mono signal (meaning some instruments are missing during playback) and it's just not loud enough for me. Sound quality it excellent though.Hope this helps. If you come across this review just get the D9. No it's not a JBL but for the price you can not beat the power and the fidelity for under $100! Plus, it has a 1200 charging capability and has a Mini SD slot as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars D8 mini (re: Budget charge 3/4. With on the go strap.)
Medium sized,Decent, loud budget Bluetooth speaker along the lines of a Charge 3 or 4... Sounds great. Easily drowns out my JBL FLip 4. The D8 mini has good deep bass. (Re: Just not the resonating low sub bass like on the flip 4.) I use it in my kitchen all the time. The JBL Flip 4 for the bedroom or other... so far I've had no trouble with this unit. It operates great and connects fast. Extra plus is the SD micro card slot/ reader for home brew music playlists. (Re: It doesn't have a display to track your songs or albums. So remember the order on which you load them onto a ad micro. But most of these type of systems don't. JBL doesn't have any readers on their units.)
5.0 out of 5 stars killer value for the money. Good sound good durability. Plenty loud.
I have an old 4wd truck that I have little desire to put a compete car audio setup in. With the wiring being 45 years old its just not a task I want to co.plete for a truck that's meant to drive through the woods to get to my favorite spot at the lake. I bought this because it is weather resistant and was rated as sounding good. It sounds almost as good as my bose soundbar in the house thats 2.5x the size. Easily hear it going down the highway over the tire noise engine noise and wind coming through the rust and windows. And when I take it to the lake I can just take it.out of the cab and move to the tailgate without missing a beat! Has to be the best sounding speaker for the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sounds like a 100 dollar+ speaker
For being around 40 dollars, this speaker is excellent. Clear, crisp highs and mids, and a rich, deep bass make this speaker sound much more expensive than the very low price it has. It’s not an incredibly loud speaker, but can fill a room without having to be at max volume like most other speakers in this price range. All in all this speaker is an amazing bang for your buck. If you want a speaker that is much louder, sounds better, and is also a bargain, consider checking out the original W-King D8. It is a good bit bigger but it has to be to deliver the very loud 50 watts of power. You can get it for around 70 and it goes on sale regularly.
Good product
I bought it as a present for my partner. So far, he's enjoying it. He loves the speaker and the sounds!
