5.0 out of 5 stars This handrail is nice
Heavy, sturdy metal. Nice finish. I bolted it to big rocks with provided hardware. They even included a wrench and hex. You’ll need a hammer drill and cement bits or hand drill for wood.
5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy
Heavy, well made. Good paint job.Not hard to install, drill a few holes in concrete, insert and tighten a few bolts. The instructions, or lack of, is only an illustration. The instructions say to use a 10mm cement drill, I couldn't find any 10mm at Home Depot or Lowes.Someone put a video on Youtube and he used a 3/8 drill bit. That makes the hole a little to small, but if you work with it, it can be enlarged. It's very sturdy and suits our purposes. The posts were level, even though the photo is distorted. We like the curved hand rail.I think it was good value.
5.0 out of 5 stars Haven’t installed yet
I haven’t installed yet but seems to be pretty heavy duty & I cant wait to get it put up.
4.0 out of 5 stars Product in poor condition but great customer service.
I like the look of the hand railing, the curved ends are pretty. However, I was very disappointed in the condition of the product we received. It appeared to be used or a return. For $200, I expect it to be in new condition. The railing had several scraps/ scuff marks, one of the metal tabs was bent, and the box had a lot of packing tape on it. Due to needing the railing right away, we chose to not wait on a return. We just spray painted it. The instructions have no words on them but it is fairly simple to put together. After reading several other reviews regarding the bolt anchors, we purchased better quality sleeve anchors and bolts. Despite it's "new" condition, once installed, it is a sturdy hand railing. It can support body weight to get up stairs. We spray painted our railing beige to match our siding and cover up the scrapes. TIP: you will need a 3/8" MASONRY DRILL BITA HAMMER DRILL is helpful to drill into cementUPDATE: I have increased my rating to 4 stars because the seller went above and beyond to contact me. They emailed and gave me a phone call. They explained it is not their policy to sell damaged or repackaged goods. They offered to replace it or give partial refund. We are happy with the railing. I would recommend working with this seller. I appreciated their customer service and that they are actually reading the reviews.
5.0 out of 5 stars Preparation Is Important
The instructions that came with this are minimal. Unless one is familiar with household projects it might take a while to figure out how to set this up of installation. All the parts were there, so it was fairly easy. There were a lot of fasteners included that were unidentified, so I wasn't sure of their purpose. They didn't really fit anything, so I just stuck them in a box, just in case. There were no instructions on the sleeve anchors so I messed up on the first two. Having a hammer drill is critical. Trying to do this project with an ordinary drill would have taken hours.Overall it looks nice and does the job.
5.0 out of 5 stars Crawling up steps is in the past
Needed a handrail to hold on to on my back porch steps. I’m 76 and tired of crawling up the 3 steps to get on my porch. As long as I just have something to touch and steady myself. This works great. I ordered black to match my wrought iron security door. Looks good and well made. Was worth every penny. So much more lady looking than crawling. As they say “once an adult, twice a child”. I’m back to the adult stage again.😆
1.0 out of 5 stars Fell Apart 1-yr after Warranty
I purchased five handrails and hired a contractor to assembled and install on my new foundation steps. They are very attractive looking, but they ALL fall apart. I noticed rust and called the manufacturer direct and they told me it was out of warranty. Their warranty is ONE YEAR! Beware! Should have looked closer because they are made in China, my bad. Reached out to Bolo which I got someone in India and he said he couldn't find my order number which I had the number sitting in front of me. He told me to call the manufacturer. I thought Bolo would stand behind their products that are sold on their site. Obviously, they don't, or don't care. Bolo's website when ordering, there was nothing listed to purchase an extended warranty, which are on some of their products. Not even sure if I would have purchased that extended warranty, it was wrought iron, which should not rust, bow or pull apart!See pictures attached.
5.0 out of 5 stars Have the right tools
Great product. Took less time to install than planned. You will need a hammer drill and 3/8” masonry bit. Put it the posts and only partially tighten the expansion bolt. Add the middle and top rails, tighten the expansion bolts, then tighten the hex nuts on the rails. Would be nice to have black hex bolts, we painted ours prior to installing.
Safety and Quality
Looks very nice and seems to be very safe . Price was ok. I would recommend looks very attractive on my front entrance adds to the decor of my front veranda. Try it out you'll like it and the Quality seems great only had it up a few months if anything changes i'll update my review .Thank You Have a Happy Day Warm Regards Ivy
Belle qualité et beau design facile à installer
Sturdy and attractive railing
Exactly what I was looking for, sturdy, easy to install and attractive
Sturdy, attractive and easy to put together.
These hand railings are even more sturdy and attractive than I expected. They are adding safety to heavy stone front steps and with a 10 mm. bit were not difficult to install.
