5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it!

I’ve used a diva cup for years! Finally had to make this purchase due to a very hilarious situation with a nosey pitbull puppy selecting items from my bathroom counter to chew. Yeah…with that being said I purchased these cups. I was initially impressed by the carry case. Seems way more sterile and sturdy than a cloth bag. After trying the smaller cup I noticed several things that I liked better than the diva cup. 1. No chemical smell. 2. The cup is easy to collapse with very little pressure. 3. No pinching upon insertion. 4. I don’t feel this cup. I’m aware of it but I don’t “feel” it if that makes sense. 5. When it’s time to change it feels very solid in my hand. The material makes it easy to control the way that it moves. To be very candid…the diva cup would sometimes bounce (more like a spring) when it was full. Imagine the horror. 10/10 recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about these cups in general but this brand in itself is amazing. If you’ve tried others? This one is so soft and moves with your body. The two different sizes for light and heavy days are very nice and the little extra long “pull” on it to remove it just the icing on top. The carry case is pretty great too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Average enough cup, not for beginners

    M.R. · July 11, 2024

TLDR; Beginner friendly? No! But it’s a nice enough cupI’ve had it about a year and it’s holding up just fine. It’s great bang for your buck and I like using it well enough, but I will say it takes a lot of trial and error to learn. Insertions tricky, and can be uncomfortable for first timers. I’ve had the best luck with a C-fold but it’s still a little tricky to get in correctly. They make an applicator which I’m sure I’ll probably invest in but remember you don’t have to buy all of the “add ons” they offer and it should work perfectly without any of them. That being said I do use their soap and their steam bowl both of which I swear by. This however is really just a generic mold cup, June cups and several other brands use the same mold, the difference being Shordy uses a very thick very firm material, and even their small is considered to be a pretty large cup. In my opinion it’s way too firm for first timers which is what makes it so difficult to use. The stem is also quite short, so if you have a higher cervix it’s definitely going to be a fight to remove. If you’re new to cups I definitely recommend taking the “Put a Cup in it” quiz to find your perfect cup first. If you’ve used them before and are looking for a cheap addition, this one’s definitely nice enough. I’ll probably continue to use this one just because I’ve already purchased it, but if I could go back in time I definitely would have started with a thinner, bendier cup.

I bought these cups on a whim - realized my period was coming soon and went to add pads onto my pickup order. Then I thought I’d check out some cups; I’d been curious about trying them. Found these, very reasonably priced and reviews were good enough so I thought I would try them out. These literally were delivered within an hour of my period starting, so I got the full effect from them. It was a bit tricky figuring out the most comfortable way to insert them at first. I opted to stand up with one foot on the toilet seat, RELAX (it says this in the instructions and it’s so so important - nothing’s going up there if you’re all tensed up) figure out a fold and try that. If that one doesn’t work out, try another. You’ll feel it if it’s not in right. It feels like a tampon that needs changed. I tried the C fold and the other one, I can’t think of the name but you just fold one part in.By the end of my period, it was easy peasy. I was able to change it sitting on the toilet. I actually figured out that before putting it in, taking a deep breath in and exhaling & relaxing my pelvis area while inserting helped a lot. For me, it took some getting used to putting my fingers up there so much - one night I came home late, a bit drunk and just put on a pad bc I didn’t want to deal with the cup at that time lol but it was surprisingly not as messy as I thought it would beI’m 34, have had 2 kids and I used both the small and large. Large for the heavy day of my period; I possibly could have just used the small the whole time but I just didn’t want to leak at all. I went skating with some friends and it was nice not having to worry about changing anything, no leaks.I saw some reviews of women saying it shortened their periods. I don’t know for sure that it shortened mine but it seemed like the “lingering” little pink & brown discharge that can take a couple of days to fully stop after my period only lasted one day instead. So that was a bonus. For the price, I feel like you can’t really go wrong with trying these out if curious! Definitely have some pads handy to wear with them your first cycle or so, but I ended up not actually needing them. I wore one the first day but then felt confident without them.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are amazing once they are in

    H.R. · October 17, 2024

Even the small one is really hard to get in. I considered using lube. But once it's in it's amazing. beyond pms you don't even feel like you have your period. I bleed through everything so this has really been life changing for me and my sheets.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works but had issue

    A.C. · September 19, 2024

This was my first try with these. I liked it initially but then it got stuck which really freaked me out. The suction is what keeps it from leaking but unfortunately that also makes pulling it out very difficult. I’m going to try a different one with a longer tab to grab.

I have only recently decided to try a menstrual cup since I was terrified to try them at first, but I’m so happy I made the decision to buy these, they are very easy to use and I have a very heavy flow and was able to have the smaller one in for 6 hours at night before I had some leakage! I have no discomfort when inserted which is what I was most nervous about. They are pretty simple to remove too, however I will say if you have a heavy flow like me it can get a little messy when you pull the cup out, not that it spills or anything but you may get blood on your hands.

Love these! Comes with 2, one small and one big. Super easy to use, with a great handle to get a grip on. Not once have I had to debate going to urgent care because I couldn’t get it out 🙈 if you’ve never used one before, you need these ones🤌

    Finally something that works!

Was always having issues with my diva cup. Genuinely was thinking it was just me because people said "it takes awhile to get used to" well I gave up after on and off trying to use the diva cup and lots of bloody messes and tears and wearing both the cup and a pad.Was going to order nixit but financially unable to at the time and figured this 2 for one package could atleast give me a good idea if it's me or size or whatever. The reviews were amazing and seemed to fit what I was having issues with.First menstrual cycle with it and can say I only had one instance with needing to rush to the bathroom and fix a leak! Honestly so relieved to know I can stop with pads (I hate tampons) and can actually feel like a normal human again once a month! I'm 27 with no kids and used the small option.Such a game changer and I can finally say after constantly struggling monthly with what to wear or what product to use or constantly in the washroom changing products, I'm in the clear to do whatever I want! Work and life is going to be so much easier. So thankful for the carrying container for when I'm done with it as well to throw in a bag easily.

First time cup user, bare with it!

Reviewing at the end of my first cycle using these cups. I hadn’t ever really considered using a cup until I saw a TikTok about pink tax and thought “f*** it” to the period products I’m buying every month and wanted to give one a go. I went for this brand after a lot of research into other brands and honestly didn’t know if I’d need a small or large cup. With other brands they were more pricey for only one cup so I thought at £15 and you’re getting both, that seems decent. My first impression was how easy it was to insert. Some people mentioned they struggled to get it to open up but honestly if you kind of get your leg up on the bathroom side, fold it up and then pull it back down and wiggle it a bit once it’s inside, it opened up fine. An issue arose however, the first evening when I reinserted it after the shower. I went to pee and couldn’t! I left it half an hour or so, got into bed and read my book then came back to try again. Still struggling! Did a bit of googling and watched YouTube videos about struggling to pee and realised it can actually push on your bladder if you have it too high. I’d automatically just inserted it up and felt it sitting right but admittedly it did instantly make me need a wee. I pulled it down and had it sat lower and could wee! Just thought this was worth noting as to be honest it was quite scary feeling the need to go but feeling like the cup was blocking it! After this hurdle at the beginning and realising where it needed to sit, I had no issues, and to be honest this wasn’t an issue with this brand in general, I feel like it just comes with experience from using a menstrual cup. The rest of my cycle was a breeze, I saw someone else on here say that they barely noticed they were on their period and I totally relate. Also a note on sizing, I am 29 and have given natural births twice. I tried the small first and it was perfect for me, I felt the large looked quite intimidating! But in the middle of my cycle probably one of my heaviest days, during the middle of the night I found I’d leaked. I then switched to the large cup for overnight and found that it was better for my flow on the heavier days. They both sat fine comfort wise :) 100% recommend! Love that I never have to buy pads and tampons again, hallelujah!
