I am a second time mom but there is 19 years between my oldest daughter and my newborn daughter. When I was pregnant with my oldest, a very good friend lost a baby to SIDS two months before my daughter was due. The night he passed I had been there holding him and joking about how our babies would grow up and date one day. The loss was devastating and filled me with so much anxiety. I barely slept for 6 months after having my daughter and would stay up all night watching her until someone else took over during the day. In total, I have personally known 4 different families who have lost a child to SIDS. For something that is supposed to be so rare, it has been a presence in my life. Having a new baby filled me with that same anxiety and I needed an additional level of reassurance. We always use safe sleep practices (on back, no loose blankets, no stuffed animals or bumpers, pacifier at night, etc.) in addition to this monitor. We had bought a similar product but the FDA had issues with their marketing and that happened shortly before our baby was due and the app was removed. The website wasn’t user friendly and made both the physical monitor and camera essentially useless. This one works great, the app is great, and is a lot less expensive. I have not had any false alarms either.

The media could not be loaded. First time father here. With my new baby, I got so anxious knowing whether she was breathing or not. After being told that babies can suffocate in bassinets with sheets or in the corner if they roll, I got so worried. Also learned that babies do best on their backs. And I had no idea wether she was too hot or cold. Our baby was in the NICU so they kept monitoring her with temp sensors, breathing, heart rate, and oxygen. I got used to seeing those things. When we got home, had none and First night of sleep was rough and worrisome. So I found and ordered Sense-U.This thing is Great! My wife likes it too. It’s REALLY easy to use. I was surprised the battery is lasting a really long time too even though it is a CR2032. After a month use, it’s at 90% battery.as far as the sensors, roll, temperature, and breathing, it’s very useful. It is very sensitive to where you place it but I followed the instructions and put it on the diaper in the center under her belly button. It is almost instant in detection of a baby roll or stomach roll change and loud alarm goes off on stomach.The temperature sensor is nice and a ding sound goes off when too hot. The breathing is where I am the most happpy. It’s generally somewhere between 15-50 beats per minute which lets me know she’s breathing. A couple of times the alarm has gone off when it’s less than 5 BPM. I ran to baby, moved her a little and she squirmed and breathing went back up.The numbers displayed are not as accurate as in the NICU or direct cable sticker sensors. When I took baby in for Doctors visit, we saw a couple of the NICU nurses and they were curious about the sensor so I showed them. When they saw the numbers displayed they were concerned as they are out of range that they like, but I told them it is not direct like theirs are. More so, this device shows if baby is within a range of numbers that are ok. And that’s all I care about. Is baby ok? Don’t have to have perfect number, just is she breathing? Is she warm enough and not too hot/cold? And is she on her back or side. And this device does that.I haven’t had any problem with the clip as I saw I. Reviews when purchasing. The clip seems strong for me and it came with a spare. The blue tooth range is ok but not as good as other Bluetooth devices. If I go to the complete other side of house it will disconnect, but reconnects again when in range.I don’t stay that far from baby most of time so not a big deal.

This thing is amazing for any parent who just worries fitfully over their baby sleeping at night. I had a horrible time trying to sleep before I got this.Having said that, it’s not the most accurate with everything it says it is. I have the first version so I can only speak to its accuracy, and sometimes it will have some false readings. I’m speaking mostly in regards to the temperature alerts but sometimes the movement alert can go off by accident too. This can be caused by the sensor moving as the baby moves or the battery getting too low. It will only alert you when the battery is at 5% then it will promptly die the next night. And speaking of that, this thing eats batteries. You can’t turn it off. You can turn off the notifications which says turns it off but if you give it a little shake you can see it’s still on.The batteries aren’t too expensive so I’m not complaining too much about that since it really is such a relief to have something capable of doing this in the first place.The real big complaint I have is with the troubleshooting. I’m a very tech savvy person and I’ve had a few very irritable nights fiddling with this thing. If you have the version I do without the base (I bought the base later and let me tell you just don’t bother with that thing. It’s useless) then you can only connect this thing to one device at a time. That’s an issue when I have daughter dearest going to stay with a grandparent for a night. Luckily, I have an old iPhone that it can connect to and I bounce between that and an iPad- what I would suggest using as the main device you connect to.You can fix the connection issues by having the app save your login credentials (keep those written down somewhere because it will log you out if you even accidentally open the app on another device). Login then it will load and say there’s no device connected. Select the reconnect option and shake the heck out of the device until it flashes. You’ll need to do this every time you switch devices. It’s a pain but well worth it in my opinion.This sensor has gone off a few times before to alert me my daughters movement was slow. I can’t know if this thing saved her life or not considering every time that happens I wake my baby to make sure she’s okay and every time she is fine. That’s not to say her breathing wasn’t weak at the time. It could have been. With most doctors not knowing how SIDs happens, I have this to keep me from worrying.I know there’s pricier options on the market and I can’t speak to those but I really like this one and if you’re not in the best financial situation and have a smart device you can connect this to, it’s well worth the price to me.

Good product for more confidence
I like the product, it makes my spirit more calm regarding my baby but sometimes it's too sensitive and the alarm start when everything is fine
