A very affordable solution to a persistent problem in the shop. The cover sits flat and offers high visibility that a hazard is in front of you. It seems to be very well made and heavy duty, but only time will tell for sure.

The item is being used outdoors to hide a garden hose that would otherwise become a trip hazard. It works however it does not and likely was not designed for such as the hose extends slightly allowing the protector to rock. The movement is small and with everything tucked against the bottom step there is no issue.As a note the hose is SS and narrower than a standard vinyl hose which would be worse and probably not fit at all. The guard is significantly heavier than the floor protection commonly found in offices.I did try the large commercial wire protectors however they were too unsightly and due to size were a stumbling danger.

My heavy table saw cord lays on the floor, and was subject to some abuse - minimally, getting stepped on regularly. I cut this down to about 4 feet, and it works very well.I laid it out in the sun for a bit to get it to flatten out, which was very effective.Glad to have this in my shop.
