I actually bought this to use for horse back riding (yes, really). I hesitated since the vast majority of the reviews were for...other purposes, but I decided to give it a shot. It’s a great crop for riding cross country. It’s sturdy, easy to grip, and gives a satisfying sound that reminds my horse it is better to jump than refuse.

I’m a lifelong equestrian with… other interests. This crop is great. It’s sturdy but flexible, the grip is soft and not too bulky, and the popper is perfect. The sound is excellent, and the sting is amazing. I would use this for horses, but this one is staying in the bedroom.

Broke on 2nd use.
Was using as a gentle guide for my young horses shoulder to stop him falling out and it broke at the point the handle joins the crop. Really disappointed 😞
