Original 8/23/20: I’m surprised how stretchy they are making them easy to get on. I’m even more surprised at how well the compression works given how stretchy they are. The size and length are great for me. They’re really comfortable. I’m excited to try them for sun protection as well.Update 8/22/21: These are great. They are cooling because they wick away & evaporate sweat very effectively. They do provide UV protection. My best guess is that it appears to be similar to SPF 30. The down side? They’re black so, when you’re in direct sunlight, they are hot which offsets the evaporative cooling effect.For this reason I got some white ones, I’m pretty sure, from the exact same manufacturer. The white ones have the same advantages of the black ones except for 2 points (besides the fact that I like the look of the black ones better). The white ones do get dirty while the black ones don’t really. The white ones are also cooler in direct sunlight.So, I love these things. I use the white ones riding my motorcycle. They keep me cooler and protect my arms from sunburn instead of having to slather sunscreen all over my arms. The black ones are good for keeping cool when I’m not in direct sunlight and without concern about them looking dirty, like when I’m working inside.Bonus tip- If you’re using them for compression, a single one is sufficient for average use. I have, on occasion, required additional compression. Right now I have some swelling & inflammation on my elbow. If you want additional compression you can simply put more on and the compression will increase. One didn’t provide quite the compression I needed so I added a second one on top of it which is a significant amount of compression and more than enough.

I use these every day and I’ve bought this product twice now, they are tight to my arm and don’t move all day long. The wrist portion is a little loose for me but the rest of the arm is nicely snug. The ends (on your bicep) are tight, but I like it because it helps keep the sleeve in place.I don’t get too hot in them either, even when I were a long sleeve shirt with the sleeves under. I would recommend hand washing them and the ends become frayed, I’m too lazy for that so I don’t do that. After a wash though the arm band is a little tougher and needs to get adjusted to my arm again, like it’s length. But overall I find these to be a very nice product.

The darker colors work well as a covering. Didn't notice any feeling of being cooled by the sleeves. Not durable, will last 4-6 months of regular use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent UV sleeves for biking, hiking, and being outdoors
These UV arm sleeves in white work very well for my wife and me. We have skinny arms and other designs slip down but these are snug, stretchy, a bargain, and don't slip. Much faster, easier, and less expensive than applying sunscreen. The white ones reflect sunlight keeping you cooler and allowing sweat to easily evaporate. They also make your arms much more visible at night when bicycling and signaling turns. When cold they also keep you warmer -- especially when used as a layer under a jacket. It was great they were shipped to us without extra packaging -- just slapped a label on them and they made it to us just fine.

I purchased these arm sleeves for road cycling (a bit of skin cancer last summer). They are exactly what I was looking for at a great price. As pictured in the images, the sleeve is approximately 18" long. After riding for a while, they probably end up at around 16 - 17" (which is acceptable to me). The wrists have always stayed in place. It's the upper end that moves just a bit. The tricep/upper opening is snug, but I never notice it as being too tight.I rode over four hours this morning in sunny/humid weather, low 90s the last hour. Wind was only around 5 mph. Arms were more comfortable than my "unprotected" legs which were dripping with sweat. I don't think any sun got through the fabric after all that time and the fabric wicked very well- never looked wet or sweaty.I've also used them in cooler temps (maybe high 50s/low 60s) and they help a little. I don't think they are intended to be arm warmers for temps much lower, though.I've washed them a few times with my other cycling clothes (gentle cycle) and they have held up well. I hang dry. I would definitely recommend these arm sleeves.

I had a very large wound on my forearm and was having a difficult time keeping bandages from slipping. I purchased these in hopes they would aid in keeping the bandages secure. It worked perfectly. The sleeves were comfortable and provided the right amount of tension to keep the bandages secure. Very happy I decided to try these.

great for lawn care works
I work out doors,great for keeping cool but helps with sun.Little tight on my upper arm,took some getting use to.not sure how a male could wear them,but would great for me.

These are perfect for what i need, only problem is that the top rolls down to above the elbow., which for me this is not a problem as its the forearm that i protect, They are comfortable and i don't realize they are on my arm sometimes.
