5.0 out of 5 stars Fits perfect
Easy to use. Screen quality is amazing. Touch screen does not lag. Multiple easy to use settings. Had the best performance. Supports multiple applications. Definitely buying another one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome to the 2020s!
Upgraded my 2012 Nissan Altima stock radio with this one and it is amazing. There was plenty of info on YouTube about the car and the stereo that, for the first time, I was comfortable installing my own car audio. Having CarPlay is amazing. I also just got the SyncKid iPhone Wireless CarPlay Adaptor and that is a great addition -- you don't even have to take your phone out of your pocket when you get in the car. I highly recommend that one if you're going to upgrade your stereo to have CarPlay.Only downside is that the FM radio is not great and there are some stations that I used to be able to get that I no longer get. HOWEVER, most of them have their own apps and you can put that on CarPlay and just listen through the app, so not taking a star away for that.
4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money.
First of all, the quality of the product is solid of course. I recommend this product 100%. The value is right. Android auto worked well though some cords will not work. This issue isn't the case with apple. The touch screen is similar to my phone's in terms of sensitivity and the os is snappy and responsive and lacks that cheap, off brand, toy like asthetic thats common in radios in such a cheap price range and I've had no issues with glitching. The screen casting for android also works well and allows you to control the phone through the radio screen similar to a tablet. An issue you will note is that with no physical buttons, it can be in safe and sometimes difficult to adjust the volume. The "buttons" for adjusting volume and going to the main screen on the side aren't really buttens, the "touch sensors" are small have no texture so it can be hard to differentiate what button is which while driving. I'd definitely recommend buying a steering wheel remote because that volume knob will be missed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value
First Kenwood head unit. I'm usually a pioneer fan for headunits, but I was very happy with switching. The adjustable audio function are amazing. Kenwood put some thought into these units. If you like fine tuning your audio this will be perfect. Also the screen is crisp, touch control is flawless. Bluetooth connection is seamless. The android play is pretty cool.Things I don't like - android and apple play needs wire connection. 10 seconds to device to connect and start playing once you start vehicle.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good reciever at an affordable price.
I replaced a factory head unit with this and paired it with a wireless android auto dongle and everything works great. The USB port is in the back side so you can hide a wireless dongle behind the dash and have the same functionality as a more expensive reciever for significantly less money. Sound quality is great and the UI is easy to use. The only complaint I have is that the touch screen does lag a tiny bit.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not even remotely intuitive design
Installation was a snap, I will give it that. Beyond that, once it's in place and on, this thing is awful. And to make matters worse, they only include an installation manual, not a hard copy of the user manual. You have to download that, so there won't be a nice tidy, small copy to stash in the glove box for the poor soul who borrows your car and tries to figure out how the stereo works. Since I spend a lot of time in different rental cars, I am familiar with the way a lot of different touchscreen stereos work. This one is so far from intuitive to program and use that I'm going to guess that anyone who borrows my truck will either need a personal tutorial or at least to have me turn off the radio and leave it off. Unless they get down super close or have really sharp eyes, they won't be able to see the microscopic print for any of the menu "buttons". Since my truck doesn't have a steering wheel control for the stereo, you have to know where to look for the (again - microscopically labeled) volume controls and tuning is only so-so at best. Adding favorite phone numbers means either scrolling through what in my case, is a really long list of contacts imported from my phone (with no "go-to" alphabet list, you have to scroll through the whole thing) or you can enter the number by hand, which means there is no option to put a name with it or even put in the dashes to make it more readable. You'll end up with 5552221212 instead of 555-222-1212 in your favorites list. Time will tell whether or not the android auto or car play features turn out to work as well as I know they can. This unit is over-complicated to the point of absurdity and seems designed specifically to be hard to use. Major disappointment
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I installed this myself with minimal experience doing this type of work. Had a couple head scratching moments but figured it out. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product and will buy another one should the need arise. The only thing to consider when installing is that Apple Play only works when plugged into the USB on the back of the unit. If it’s your intention to use this feature you’ll need to figure out how to get the USB plug accessible.
5.0 out of 5 stars Must need for an older vehicle!!!
Absolutely worth the money. Easy to install. Apple Car Play and Android auto is done through your charger wire but sound quality amazing with stock speakers. You do need to bypass the parking brake wire by crimping a ring connector and screwing it to a screw on the radio to use the car play. Very clean design. On the Chevy Tahoe paired with a Crux interface metra dash kit it a great set up. The USB wire is already extended so need to buy an extension. Bluetooth is great and downloads your contacts to call through the radio itself. But once you use the car play and auto youll see you will enjoy using that more than the Bluetooth. At first it is difficult when you're in the initialize process but after a while it works amazing!!
calidad y precio
excelente producto, muy completo, unicamente la aantena tiene poco alcance, por lo demas muy bien
Bon rapport qualité prix
J’adore cette unité, superbe upgraded pour mon Chevy express.
Works just fine on my son’s Kia Sportage 2012
We replaced the radio UVO system with this new unit. Everything works! I also bought an harness for it to work the Kia Sportage sx model. The only matter is to get the specific harness to work with your car make and model with specifics for your onboard instruments. Be sure to order the right thing. I baught an harness that said 100% compatible with my car make but 2 features weren’t available so I had to improvise.
Its ok. Priced too high
The media could not be loaded. Mostly unhappy because while it can connect to mobile device wirelessly via bluetooth, it will not do carplay wirelessly. You must plug into USB cable. Considering the $87 chinese stereos can do wirelessly. It’s very lame $500 more with Kenwood wont afford you that feature.Nice interface, latency on input isn't bad, feels ok, marginally slower than smartphone but not an issue. Faster than Chinese interfaces.
