Some years ago one of the big consumer-information magazines did DNA testing on various olive oils and found that ONLY THE ONES FROM CALIFORNIA, USA were 100% pure olive oil - despite the fact that many of them claimed to be this on their labels. Up to recently only ONE other olive oil (California brand) claimed to be pure California olive oil - But then they changed the label and now it shows (if you read the fine print carefully, that it is NOT pure California oil after all. Then they (the California brand, started releasing a 100% California oil again (for a high price). Then I found this one: Cobram Estate. It claims to be 100% California and cold-pressed. It does NOT claim to be 'organic'. It tastes good and costs much less than the 'other brand and it is available at that 'wal' place for a lower price.

This is what single sourced olive oil is supposed to taste like. Little peppery scratches in the back of your throat yet smooth like velvet. I bought the regular and robust and both are superior to anything I have found in my local big chain grocery stores. Use whatever else you have to fry an egg or something. Use this to top some high quality bread, baby arugula, tomatoes, Italian soups, etc… Treat yourself and your health with this awesome product.
