I am no leather expert but this strap is stiff. It came folded and doesn't want to keep any shape except the way it came.It may be 'Genuine Leather' as advertised but I'm a bit skeptical. The texture, layer seam and porous 'top grain' signal that it could be fake but, again, I'm no expert.I'll attempt to work the strap loose with the assumption that it is Genuine; a bit of heat and some Leather conditioner.As I received it:Handle - Length: 8.25 Narrow width: 1-⅛" Head: 1-15/16" Base: 1-¾" Thickness: ⅞"Strap - Length (exposed): 12" Width: 15/16" Thickness (single): 3/32"
