5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install, clean way to hide speaker wire
I needed an easy and clean way to hide some surround sound speaker wires and figured I’d try this product. They came in pristine condition - no cracks, kinks, or scuffs. I agree with some other reviewers that there are not enough connectors supplied with this 30 foot kit, but fortunately for me I was using it for a 22’ long straight run plus a couple shorter pieces and had enough connectors handy. The adhesive worked very well for me - but be careful once it’s on the wall, it’s stuck there so take your time to line things up. I found the channel easy enough to open and close and didn’t have any issues with it breaking. To cut to length I used a Dremel since I don’t have a hack saw and it worked great. Overall it was easy to use and looks great.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fits RG6 and flat CAT8 cable together.
Easy to install. Foam tape is pre applied to entire length of each stick. Adhesion to baseboard is excellent, so position it correctly the first time.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works well just plan on buying additional "L" and "T" covers, they don't include enough in the 30ft
Pros:The quality of the product seems better than others. The PVC doesn't seem really cheap or flimsy. It's easy to cut as long as you use the appropriate tool. I purchased the one called "Wire Duct Cutter from Electriduct" also sold on Bolo. and it works great.Cons:They only included 1 "L" flat piece to make turns. This is crazy considering this is the package that includes a total of 30ft of raceway. That should be an indication that the person may need to make multiple turns unless they are running against a 30ft continuous wall with a straight shot.I ended up purchasing one additional accessory cover package for an additional 10 bucks and that only gave me one additional L bracket. I spent another 30 bucks in purchasing the cover pieces separate from a different retailer.Value rating: 2 stars out of 5.Functionality and quality rating: 4 to 5 stars out of 5.
5.0 out of 5 stars Stop here. This is what you're looking for.
Fantastic product! Installed for our home theater in about an hour. Easy to do, forgiving with cover design, looks great.Wish I'd known about d-line earlier. The eet solution to a common problem.Side bonus: wife helped me and we're not discussing divorce like after most house projects.
5.0 out of 5 stars Did the job
Bought his raceway to hide speaker wire in my home theater. Fairly easy to install but be sure you select the correct size. I was running a pair of 16 gauge wire and although they fit it was very tight. If in doubt size up.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked well, but plan ahead, and plan for a little waste.
Plan ahead and know how you’ll lay it out before you start. And make sure you are installing it with the opening on the same side everywhere (I got mine flipped and did a miter cut the wrong way once or twice). Also, you’ll need a good miter box and saw (I used a miter box with a hack saw and it worked pretty well). Be careful when you’re sticking them to the wall - they stick very firmly!! Also plan for a little waist (mistakes, end pieces that end up being too short to use, etc). Overall this worked well, and I recommend it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Conduit works well but connectors are sloppy and floppy.
I didn't have any problems with split conduit or badly peeling adhesive, it seems to stick to my knock-down textured walls ok so far. The connectors are the weak link here. They really don't attach to the conduit other than a small tab being held by slight contact force when the conduit is snapped over the connector. You need to run your cable first before installing the connectors as the connectors simply sit on top of the cable and are held by a small tab that is held by the conduit, with the exception of the straight coupling connectors. Here they have to be installed between the 2 conduit lengths and the cable has to be threaded thru the couplings. This prevents being able to install the cover kit on any cable that doesn't have at least one free end. This is a real design issue.
4.0 out of 5 stars More connectors needed
The quarter round cord cover came in 6 lengths as indicated. However, only 2 connectors were included. I could have used more. As it is, I now have some joints with no connector and therefore not as neat looking. Perhaps 3 or 4 could be included in the future. A 30 foot length is not possible with just 2 end-to-end connectors.
