This was my first experience working with a snow globe, so I am not a connoisseur. But it works well and I have no complaints. The plastic is crystal clear. There is a bit of plastic at the North Pole left over from the molding process. The thickness of the plastic is not consistent, but it is not visible and does not cause me any issues. But a 3-inch diameter circle, centered on the North Pole, is significantly thicker and does not depress under moderate thumb pressure. But a 3-inch wide band centered around the equator is as pliable as a shampoo bottle. Again, this does not cause me any issue for what I am doing. I would not hesitate to purchase this again for the same purpose. But if my project involved cutting the globe for other purposes, it is important to keep this in mind.

I purchased this globe for my elf on a shelf. I made it an elf in a snow globe. The globe is very solid and sturdy. Now I will tell you this, they globe will warp if you apply a significant amount of heat (ie a blow dryer). Don't ask me how I know. My elf scene turned out awesome. I add some snow, put him in and viola. This is a quality globe that can be used for many applications like making a snow globe, a large ornament, or picture holder. A neat little thing, if you are in the market.

My only issue I’ll start with is the plastic on the inside bottom is textured so nothing likes to glue to it. Super glue, aquarium glue..it all falls right off. I ended up having to make a seal of aquarium glue to keep the base sealed to the bottom.Other than that, super easy to use. It’s a large size that is crystal clear. Slides together easily and seals into place no leaking issues.My first snow globe so don’t judge I used a little too much snow lol but it turned out fantastic. Will definitely buy it again for more projects!

This is a really fun product and easy to use, however there are some things you need to do 24 hours in advance and certain products you need to purchase (special glue and protective covering for your interior item). I gave it to my granddaughter who wanted to do it immediately -- she was disappointed that it had multiple steps and drying times. The end product turned out to be a treasure.

Sometimes you just need a bigger snow globe, and this one is ideal! When I need more room inside the globe for my figurines, I turn to this 5" diameter snow globe.

The cap leaks. Okay for if you want a snow globe without water.
Not very good
The instruction sheet, such as it is is pretty useless, using code numbered products to do the job. The plastic stopper didn't stick properly to my ornament, it fell off inside the globe, the glue had not adhered to the plug despite roughing it up as suggested. Next problem, the stopper was very reluctant to go into the globe because as I pushed it in, the air pressure inside the globe kept pushing it back out again; this happened repeatedly until my ornament fell off inside the globe, leaving me a horrible mess to clean up. Regret buying this especially with it being very expensive too. I should have bought one of those photo snow globes, it would have done a reasonable job without all the faff and mess and a lot cheaper. I'm going to have to redesign how this globe goes together and use other techniques for assembly so you can actually assemble it and it remains intact and doesn't leak.
