5.0 out of 5 stars Super easy and works great-definitely recommend!
This product worked great and was fairly simple to use. The one challenge I had was just due to the shape of the headlight, there were some curves that required some additional attention and time. But overall, it came out well! Lights are much brighter now, and looks great!I think it probably took me about 10-15 minutes to sand each headlight, and the clear coats only took about a minute to apply. You do have to wait 10-15 minutes between applying the first and second coats, as well as an hour after the second coat before you can drive around or get them wet. There’s enough in the kit to do both headlights as long as you’re doing them at the same time. It comes with two packets of the clear coat, and it requires one packet for each of two coats. So as long as you are coating both headlights at the same time, one kit will be sufficient for both.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product!
Im a busy mom and I was so sick of my cloudy headlights so I bought this kit. I am thrilled to say it worked very well! You can see the before, during, and after photos I attached. I worked on this off and on through the morning. I took breaks because holding the drill steady is a bit exhausting. I was worried at the beginning when the headlight was totally cloudy from sanding, but I trusted the process. The instructions are very detailed and helpful and I knew the cloudiness was normal. Anyway I’m finished now and it seriously looks so clear and shiny just as I hoped! For the price and a few hours set aside to do this project, you can’t go wrong! I recommend using plenty of masking tape because the drill slipped a few times and I sanded my car on accident. It’s barely noticeable but better safe than sorry. I realized it is best to use plenty of paper towels to wipe away sanding debris throughout the process. The instructions do mention this but I missed it at first. Anyway, great product!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works Well
I renewed the headlights on our daughter's car. It works exactly as advertised. The headlight covers appear almost brand new and the light transmission is great. The instructions are easy to follow and the results are great. It is fairly easy to renew two headlights; it takes about half an hour total.
4.0 out of 5 stars SANDING is the most important part. Then product works well!
Worked really well as long as you follow all details in directions. Sanding is ivery mportant to get all blemishes off the plastic. We also noticed it works much better on flatter headlights. The more curves, the harder to sand very well. I cannot say how long it will last, but it looks great in the first week or so.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!
I've never done this before and the directions were pretty straight forward. I watched a YouTube video first time be sure.Key take away:TRUST THE PROCESSIt looks worrisome and like you are making your headlight worse, but if you follow the steps and take your time, your headlights will turn out very clear! I forgot to take before pics but there was a very noticeable difference in clarity. My headlights embarrassed me with their cloudiness and now they have taken years off the look of our cars!
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
I’ve used car detailers for headlight restoration before, but they didn’t do near as good a job as this product did… $15 vs. $65+. I recommend this product highly… great price, easy to use, great results, and entirely dummy-proof.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!
I wish I'd taken before and after photos to post, but I'll just say that this kit (the version using an electric drill) works as advertised. The directions are clear and straightforward, and there are number of good videos on Youtube if you want to see how to do it. I was able to take an old frosted over looking headlight on my 2000 BMW and make it look nearly as good as new in about an hour. Certainly a better option than spending hundreds of dollars to replace a perfectly good headlight assembly.A few tips from my experience with the kit:1. Get a painter's mask, or better yet a 3M respirator for this job. The drill sanding process creates a lot of particle dust, and I dont' think this is stuff you want to breathe in.2. If you can remove the headlight assembly/lens from the car, do so. Even with masking tape, it's easy to catch an edge with the sander and damage any painted surface around your headlight. Also getting the headlight assembly up higher onto a work bench with all the edges exposed, will allow you to do a more thorough job with much less stress and effort. I clamped the assembly to hold it down, so I could use both hands to keep the drill stable and the sanding pads flat on the surface with light pressure.
5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!! Amazed at how great this worked.
We just bought this car off of an individual a week ago, and the headlights were foggy looking and had a white cast to them (believe me, it looked a lot worse in person than in the pictures), and our visibility sucked. So, I came on here and found this kit, and honestly I wasn’t expecting much given it was only $15 for the whole kit, but I said whatever, I’ll give it a shot. And I am glad I did!! It took us about an hour to do both lights, and that was because our drill died halfway through it. If the drill had not died, it would have been done in about 45 minutes. We followed the directions exactly as they were written, and they turned out perfectly. Our visibility is so much better, and they look brand new!! I’m so glad this worked and we didn’t have to buy new headlights. If I ever need to restore headlights again, I will buy this kit again. It’s great and for only $15, you can’t beat it!! Highly recommend!
My headlights look brand new!
The headlights on my 11 year old CRV were so badly fogged they barely lit up the road at night. After pricing out new headlights ($900 each!) I decided to try a headlight clearing kit. I chose this one based on the good reviews, and I was not disappointed. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and there were enough sanding discs for the larger headlights on my vehicle. I used up all the sanding discs and was very thorough in the sanding process because the fogging was pretty deep and I wanted to ensure good results. It probably took me about an hour start to finish. I should of taken before and after photos, because the results are amazing, the headlights look brand new! I'm jazzed for my next nighttime drive because I'll actually be able to see the road!
Excelente producto.
Almost like New!
At last year's MoT, the headlights had to be polished by the garage to achieve a pass. Twelve months on, the lenses look hazy again. Took my time with the kit and achieved a fantastic result - almost like new. Plenty of water with the final abrasive pad before applying the clearcoat after drying thoroughly. This final step transforms the lens to near new brilliance. Very impressed and highly recommended!
Acabado muy bueno
Increíble resultado siguiendo las instrucciones.Es un poco caro pero merece la pena.Lleva tiempo pero si no tienes prisa y lo haces siguiendo las precauciones queda fenomenal
Excellent
Take care. You have to follow the instructions and not to apply any kind of force when sanding.
