5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Digital Caliper
Quality measuring device which provides consistent results that match those obtained from a second analog caliper that I own. Battery was installed upon receipt of the caliper, so it was ready to use immediately. Included two spare batteries. Easy to understand instructions included in the hardened plastic case which adequately protects the device when not in use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Accurate and Fast!
Offers instant results, is accurate to my testing, and is extremely intuitive to use. I always wanted some calipers but figured they were expensive until I actually looked around. These are a great match of price and quality. I only wish I had picked these up sooner. They would have been great for some previous projects. I would absolutely recommend them!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good value
Nice caliper that measures accurately and works very well.I'm a machinist and have used calipers since before they were digital. This is a great product for the home hobbyist and even the professional looking to save a few dollars compared to the big name manufacturers. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was it's a little sharp. The body of the caliper where it's usually held needs the corners rounded some. I touched mine up on a fiber wheel and they're great now.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well and is surprisingly sturdy for the price
I needed a quick but 'accurate enough' caliper for my workshop, but on a budget. This fits the bill. It is easy to use, has both metric and standard units and seems fairly robust in its construction. The case is the basic tool case plastic common in lower tier tools but is good enough for my needs. If you aren't doing hyper-precise machining, this should fit your needs as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars LOUISWSRE Digital Verniers Caliper
These are really nice quality calipers. They can measure the inside and outside diameters/dimensions of objects with a tolerance of + or - .0005 inches or .01mm of up to 6 inches. They have an extension arm that comes out of the ruler for measuring the depths on objects that is .08 inches wide so you can get into very narrow objects like a test tube for example. Nice smooth movement. It takes one 1.5 volt button cell battery that last forever just about.
5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't ask for any better
Works perfectly as advertised. I really like the padded case it comes in. Very nice to protect delicate, precise instruments
5.0 out of 5 stars Almost the best calipers for the $$
I'm a journeyman machinist, so maybe more picky than I should be. I can tell you this is a very accurate instrument, if used correctly, that is, don't expect to have an accurate measurement if you push too hard on the caliper when doing OD measurements, or have it at at even a slight angle when measuring a shoulder, or depth. I ran tests on my precision blocks, and 1, 1.5, 2.0 cylinders. It was within .0005-.001 accuracy. I didn't deduct a star but what I didn't like about this caliper is it only went up to 5.940", not 6+ inch range. I had to carefully mark the holding screw at the back, then grind a flat, then reinstall it to allow the caliper body to go back far enough to measure 6+ inches. I can do that but other users may have trouble if they're not machinists used to handling 2mm diameter threaded screws. This caliper doesn't display fractions, like others such as the Qfun seller. Not an issue for me but some may want this capability. But overall it is a nice caliper with all the numbers being large, not just the first couple numbers, then the rest of the reading has small numbers, like some calipers display. Also, the battery is easy to install, when needing replacement (they supply two, one in it, and another when needing replacing). Some calipers require a screwdriver to remove a cover.....deal breaker for me. I like the individual buttons on the front, not under the display face bezel. The dual/trio function calipers that have the on/off/zero are OK but you have to toggle through the button presses to get to what you want to do. So I give this a high mark, almost equal to my Qfun, and Acemeters, and slightly better than my $100+ Mitutoyos. Wait a second....Mitutoyos score lower? Yes. The display on mitutoyos are smaller than these or my other favorites. In odd measurement conditions, you need the largest display possible. Second, mitutoyos never turn off, unless you shut them off. If you forget and leave them on, then you need a new battery. This and my other calipers auto-turn off BUT, they keep the last setting, so you don't lose a reading or if you locked the caliper in place at a certain reading. If it shuts off, you just hit the on button and it'll display the exact reading last entered. Overall a nice unit, well worth the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well made and easy to read. Auto on/off
I bought this replace my old and worn out digital calipers. This is very nicely made and very accurate. I like the large and easy to read display. My only complaint - the units indicator is tiny and I need my reading glasses to see it. Wish designers would think about things like that and provide a larger units indicator.I also like the auto on feature - just open the jaws and it powers on. No fumbling for buttons. It does have a Power On/Off button as well. I like that I can turn it off when I am done with it to save the battery.
