Tasty and nutritious low saturated fat, but looks like poop and is squishy. I buy them if on sale only and eat them frozen. Kid squished it into a ball and said it was poop.

I've reordered these many times because I really like these bars, but they're not perfect. I like them because they satisfy my sweet tooth for relatively few calories and provide some protein. All three of those things are important considerations for me since I had weight loss surgery. On the down side, they're pretty gritty. That's partly due to the "crisps" and partly due to the protein powder I'm sure, so it's to be expected. The other issue is that the taste and texture vary considerably from batch to batch. I suspect this is a good thing because it reflects the fact that these aren't rolling off an industrial production line, stuffed full of additives and preservatives, but it means that sometimes it's different (and worse than usual). This particular order is darker in color and leaves an aftertaste that I really don't like. However, the chocolate chips and the slight chewiness are yummy. I'll definitely be ordering again, but I'm hoping that the taste change isn't due to a reformulation. If it is, I'll have to find a new treat.

I don’t always have time to eat lunch so I bought these as a substitute to those days. The price was good. The texture is a bit chewy but the taste was pretty good, not as good as other bars but it worked. Ingredients were of good quality. They are filling. Not 100% sure if I’ll get these again due to the texture

It's delicious and a good vegan protein source. I have been using this product and others from the same company for years and have been very happy. I will not order it from Bolo any longer because they continuously put huge items, such as a large container of cat litter, in the same box that they ship this in. Result... heavy box of cat litter flopping around during delivery inside the same box as my food and damaging it. I have ordered it again, as well as more cat litter, and it is arriving a day late after my scheduled Bolo day, once again being packed and shipped together with the cat litter! Stop being so negligent and use common sense when shipping things, Bolo!!!

I like any of the Orgain protein bars of this style. Has a good texture, and is not too sweet. This one definitely reminds me of cookie dough, so they did a good job with it. The initial bite has that protein taste though. Seems to simmer down with more bites. Something unique about these bars that I like.Mixed reviews, but I decided to give them a try anyway because I like Orgain products, AND it was on sale, bringing it closer to $1 per bar. I bought the S'mores, and I find them incredible. Then I bought this Chocolate Chip Cookie dough, and it tastes like cookie dough, and the texture too. Like the cookie dough you can get in rolls in the refridgerated sections. But slightly more firm for handling. Very interesting.As with the Smores option, here too I expected a strong protein taste, and at first I did taste a little of that. But I think the initial opening of the packet released some off gassing, and so my first bite seemed to taste protein-y. However, the rest of it was divine. I didnt gobble it all down at once. Remainder of my review is the same as my review for the smores option, so I will just copy it over here.I tend to chomp on these through my work day, so I take a bite then set aside for awhile, then return to it as needed. I work a physical job and so it isn't easy to just eat a meal. I also need something that can stick to my ribs. I was really pleasantly surprised that I could eat just this and get through my day. I think I had an apple (cut up for same ease of munching) along side it. It wasn't a fluke, because i did it again the next work day, and had same results. So the protein used is a long burner. Coffee, orgain bar, sliced up apple. All good. All day.Taste? good. Not too sweetTexture? awesome. Has a good chew. If warm (like sitting in car) it gets a little goey, but it stays solid- no mess. I like the bits of chocolate. Adds good mouth feel.I'm a big fan of loading up my purse with snack bars-- again, I work a physical job with no real breaks. I like knowing I have something to nibble on as need be. I would also grab for this when I want something candy bar like, and not worry about taking the sugar hit. I just find it all around pleasant, and will likely buy it again (though preferably on sale), and likely try other flavors.
Amazing taste, but too expensive
I absolutely love these. Neither my husband nor myself are vegan, but I have a sensitivity to dairy, so I started eating/drinking vegan protein products. I can honestly say that the chocolate chip cookie dough bars are the best I've ever had and my husband feels the same (I had to keep pleading with him to stop eating them). They have an interesting coffee-like crunch in them and they're much chewier and softer than most protein bars.I managed to find these online on an American website and, even with shipping/duties, each box came out to about $27. I'd strongly encourage my fellow Canadians to shop around. I'm tired of getting price gouged for health food products.
Sweet flavor, caramel-like
Delivery came a day earlier than expected. The bars were very good, long expiry date which is good. The chocolate chip cookie dough flavour definitely has the texture of cookie dough. Flavorwise, it is very good but very sweet. It almost has a caramel feel to it, but overall very good. I wish the chocolate flavor was a bit stronger, but other than that, I am definitely satisfied :D
Great for a mom in a rush!
