Bags are thick and sturdy. The size is correct for holding eight cans of food across the bottom plus staples and other foods to fill it up. Bags are used for Food Pantry and they need to withstand the shifting and weight of the food packed in the bags. The cost was not great for a non-profit service provider.

We purchase these to use in bagging food items for a local food pantry. They are much better than any that we have bought locally because they separate well and are not prone to tearing under pressure.

I ordered these for bagging up stuff for donations to Goodwill, etc. It's neater and they don't seem to want any more cardboard boxes. They're a nice weight and size and will be very handy for destashing the house.

They say “Extra Heavy Duty”. If these are extra heavy duty I hate to see what light duty would be like. It is almost impossible to put anything heavy like meat in it without it ripping.I have to double bag them to use them for much of anything and even then the rip easily.
