Lays flat and protects floor. It moves around a little but it's real easy to straighten every couple of days. Chair rolls easy with standard casters. It's a good value. I can't imagine a more expensive one working better. After a month it still looks new. It's in my office and gets heavy use every week day. I like the low profile.

This is a must have. As you can see I also bought the gel chair casters on Bolo. Those I bought 4 months ago and they are very good and smooth but would still sometimes get caught in the tile grout. With this clear mat I have no hang ups no issues. I am very happy with my purchase and will definitely get another when needed. But it looks like this is going to last, very durable. I don’t know how it will work on carpet.

We just refinished our floors, so wanted to protect them from my office chair. Love this mat. It's not terribly noticeable because it's clear, and it's a flexible material, not rigid. It comes rolled up, and you lay the smooth side down, which ends up being the curved side down, which helps it to flatten out. Put some heavy books or something on the ends and it lays flat pretty quickly. The chair rolls so smoothly over it, yet it does not just run away from you either. The mat stays in place, but is easy to move if needed. The size is perfect for a simple desk like mine - plenty of room to put the chair in and out. Definitely recommend!Edited: After using this mat for a longer period of time, I noticed that it does in fact move around a bit. I wish it would stay in place better. Originally I had it under part of my desk where my desk was sitting on part of it. However when I rolled around, it started to bubble up on one side. Because of that I removed 1 star.

I ordered this to keep under my parrot's cage (messy little thing). This is super durable, thick, and does a great job of protecting my hardwood floor from spills and messes. I will say that it does take quite a while for it to lie flat - I used several weighted items placed around the borders, and that seems to have done the trick. No strong odors, which was great because birds are sensitive to strong smells. Highly recommend!

I have no problem with slipping or it curling up once you get it straightened out. I used a hair dryer on the ends and it flattened right out no problem. You can also as they say take it out in the sun and let it bake, however I was in the middle of hurricane Helene and we can't exactly cease the sun for another day or two. Is extremely easy to put out sit down install it and then use it. And so far I haven't had any issues with scratching it or marring the surface in any way. I would get another one if I needed one. Nice
3.0 out of 5 stars doesn't lay flat on our vinyl plank kitchen floor
So I was hoping this chair mat would help protect our luxury vinyl plank flooring in our kitchen where I have a computer desk. However, it is constantly buckling even after I put some heavy leftover stone tile pieces as anchors in each corner. It is pretty flexible which might work for some situations but it just isn't the right solution for ours.

I have had this for a few days now, and I'm very pleased. I read the negative reviews before buying, and I don't know why people had problems. The mat is hard but pliable and unrolled easily. It took a few days to flatten out completely. I was going to put it out in the sun or use a hair dryer to soften it up to help it lay flat, but that wasn't necessary. It is very transparent, which let's me see the hardwood floor well. It does slide slightly at times, but the weight of my desk chair (pretty standard with rolling wheels) and it's rotation to allow me to get out easily minimized this. I suspect the people who had problems had different chairs or highly polished floors.

The mat is a little thin, but is doing its job on my tile surface. The wheels on my chair were marking up the tile, this mat eliminates that issue. It does move a round a bit, so I need to straighten it out every couple of weeks. All & all a decent value & does it's job.
