5.0 out of 5 stars Love the look! Wish you could sync the strands
I bought two strands to hang in my door and I love the look it brings. It's a great way to bring some light in the room in the evening without using overhead lights. The dimming feature is nice. The settings seem random between the strands. The flashing will go from slow to fast but on one strand it'll be three pulses of slow, three pulses of fast while the other will do two pulses of each. You also can't sync them, they inevitably fall out of sync after a few seconds. But my favorite setting is just the solid lights so they work very well for that purpose and a great price. They are delicate when removing, they hang on a sort of thin wire but are spooled up pretty smoothly. I had to untangle the end of most and then was able to just slowly unspool the strand down my fingers. The hooks are tiny, I had planned on hanging them from my curtain rod but was able to just hang them from the curtain eyelets instead. If accuracy or flashy effects matter, look for a more expensive one. If you're just after some nice solid ambiance lighting/Christmas decor then these are perfect!
5.0 out of 5 stars easy to tangle. but beautiful once up
The media could not be loaded. i saw lots of mixed reviews but they work amazing. haven’t had any issues. when i installed them, that was probably the hardest part. only because the wire is so thin and can tangle easily. but if you do it one at a time there’s no issue! recommend to only start untangling them once you have up
5.0 out of 5 stars Love. These. Lights.
I bought the white lights for my daughter’s room. I can’t tell you how much the photo does not do these lights justice, and really reinvents her room into something amazing. I love that they are controlled with a remote and it has a timer on it with several timing options. I hung 2 sets to lesson the gaps between the strings and both set of lights work off the same remote. I have nothing negative to say about these lights. The ONLY thing is with the 2 sets, the strings can get mildly tangled together, but easy to untangle from each other. The strings are made of a thin medal. I’ll be ordering more of these lights. They would be perfect to hang for Xmas decorations on my sliding glass door and windows.
4.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I love the lights, the hooks to hang them & how they look. The remote was working but has since stopped. I purchased a new battery but it is still not working.
5.0 out of 5 stars As advertised
I used several sets of these at a wedding reception. They were beautiful as wall decor behind the bridal party table and gift table. They hung easily on the wall using the sticky tabs and hangers provided. They did not cause any damage to the walls when we removed them, but they were only up for a couple of days. They arrived on time in perfect condition. They worked great and were easy to put up. I plugged them into a wall outlet using my phone power brick. I did not use the timer feature. I hung curtain sheers over them and it created a beautiful glow. I would recommend these.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good lighting, but pretty flimsy…
Pros:-Dimmable (nice if your in a dark room and need it to be dimmer, or if you want it brighter you could use it as a light/lamp)-Pretty easy to install (nice adhesive on hooks and easy to install)-A few cool different modes (colors look great and it adds a very nice ascetic to the room)-Good for the price (pretty cheap, but good if you just want a cool addition to a room)Cons:-Pretty flimsy (if you bend it too much it will break off, not good if you have cats that like to chew it too…)-Not enough modes (there were some color schemes that I liked, but with the different colors, there definitely could of been room for more modes)-Weakish signal on remote (it takes a few clicks and you have to get closer sometimes for it to change. If it’s behind something too like a bed or desk, it will not change)
5.0 out of 5 stars Just don't unfurl them until you have them on the hooks!
I don't know what I was thinking. It's not the product's fault. It comes with each strand of lights all rolled up and cinched in a tiny circle. I unfurled every one prior to hanging them up. Bad move! I was untangling them for like an hour. Worth it, though! I redid my daughters' bedroom and it came out gorgeous =)
1.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy Fairy Lights—Not Crisp Curtain Lights
The Good: 1) The sticky button/hooks are stickier than command hooks which kept falling down. These I could move around a bit till just right. DO: touch the sticky pad a few times; they don’t have the pull tab that command strips have so can’t speak for how well they’ll pull off a painted surface after being there for some time.2) the lights were packaged in a clear flat plastic reusable clamshell which organized the lights with each strand rolled into a 1.5” flat O sitting in its own O-shaped slot, and the hooks on the main wire snapped securely above them. The sticky hooks were in a small zip-lock bag in a separate slot, and the remote control in its own slot. The Bad: just about everything else. 1) The light strands are 14” apart. This does not make for a curtain of lights but for a look of 9 independently hanging strands of lights meandering in their own direction. 2) The lights don’t hang straight—some curl, some bend randomly/strangely, and very unevenly, longer or shorter than the others, depending on how bent or curled the strand is. 3) While the packaging looks super neat and organized, each O has a thick, cylindrical 1” wire twisty tie that is machine tightened around the coiled light strand. VERY tedious to unwrap, especially 18 times! 4) A small few light strands would fall straight down into a banana curl that would need to be pulled as long and straight as possible. But most were wrapped more haphazardly and would tangle into upward and downward spirals requiring untwisting and untangling and then never conforming into a straight hanging strand; 5) The light modes—OMGOODNESS! Unless you are a Las Vegas attraction, there is only one light mode that does not fry your brain to watch it, and that is Steady on. All the others are some variation of Blinding Flash. (Maybe this is the attractive/desirable mode in downtown Singapore). And finally; 6) These are FAIRY lights, not curtain lights. BIG difference! I’ve had curtain lights hanging in my windows all year long for 5 years. I turned them on at Christmas time, but also when it’s rainy and dark and cold it brightens my day. And neighbors have commented many times how it cheers them up when they drive by my house They are sturdy thicker wires, the light stands out away from the wire in the same direction. They are larger and warmer lights and simply lovely. From the way this product was described, that’s what I thought I was purchasing. If you do decide to buy them, I would recommend doubling them, so that the second light strands are spaced 7 inches apart, giving a more curtain-like look, even if they are wavy and bent and crooked. Just plan to spend some time unwrapping those blasted tangled coils. In the video, the left side by the Christmas Tree is one strand of the lights. On the right side by the fig tree is a strand of actual curtain lights purchased a few years back. The right indie is a doubled strand of these fairy lights.
Much larger than yy would expect
I measured my windows before ordering but I must have made a mistake because one set would go around my whole living room. They're also really long. You have to take your time and be extremely methodical when unraveling the strands or they will get badly tangled up. I learned this the hard way. In addition when putting them away. Allow yourself lots of time to carefully wind them back up and put them away neatly when you no longer need them. They are good quality and look great. Be careful if you have pets. Our cats were playing with the strands and chewing on them and we had to tie them up to avoid an accident.
Stopped working after 3 months
I purchased these in June 2023, and absolutely loved them, until they stopped working in September, after the return window closed. 👎 If they continued working this would have been a five-star review.
