5.0 out of 5 stars Works as expected, quality better than expected at this price
I bought this to use on my PS5. It was having a strange issue where it would randomly start connecting and disconnecting from the LAN. I was using a cable that was being thrown out from work (it was a nice long cable and fit my needs). But I assumed the issue was with the cable. Turns out however that the LAN port on the PS5 seems to be the issue. A 'fix' was supposed to be some thin cardboard shoved into the port to make the connection tight. The plugs on this cable are already very snug, but the issue remains. So, there's no issues with this cable and I'm very happy with it so far.The braided cable is outstanding and the RJ45 connectors seem to be very premium as well. The price point on this for a CAT8 cable with this quality makes it a no brainer, why not buy it over a CAT7 or lower cable even if it is overkill. It also comes with a pack of plastic wall guide staples to make routing it easier. I didn't know these were included, but since I can't find mine, I was very happy to see them. I love, love, love the the flat cables over the traditional round cables.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality
This cable has a great quality braided cord on it and the connectors fit in the plugs nice and snug. I have great speeds and connection. This was a great buy for the length and quality of this cable. I think anyone would be happy with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars An Honest Review by Brandon
Speed is the name of the game. No I mean literally you need speed when you game, am I right or am I right? Shoot, you might even be playing Need for Speed. Ok, fun off, what is the reason we like this cable? Oh yeah, you see I gave it 5 stars right? We like it! We love it and we want some more of it! When it comes to gaming online we want all the speed we can get. First this obviously starts with your internet provider. Then it comes down to what your machine can handle, then lastly getting those bits of numbers from the provider to the machine. This is obviously where the cable comes into play. Getting those 1s and 0s through. Look at it like this, you have a small diameter pipe with water going through it vs a larger diameter pipe with water flowing through it. You can obviously allow more water through the bigger pipe. That is where this comes into play. It is rated at 40 Gigs! That is super fast to keep it simple. Super super fast. This is not the only place where this "simple cable" shines. It is flat, even flatter than my back side, for a cable that is great, not so much for me. It looks a lot cleaner and bendable without getting the kinks like a round wire. This means no pinched cables which can hamper speeds if bent too much. Granted you have to do some serious bending but that is beside the point. So it looks good, and you get all that speed with a pretty darn good length. That's what was most important to me. I live on "hard wired" for gaming and streaming needs. Sometimes you cannot get a good cable long enough so that is a big plus. A+ on the cable fellas.
4.0 out of 5 stars High-Speed Connectivity and Durability - Cat 8 Ethernet Cable Review
The Cat 8 Ethernet Cable has proven to be a reliable and high-speed solution for my networking needs. Its impressive specifications and durable build make it a valuable addition to my home setup. The 10 ft length is suitable for connecting devices across a room or office space, providing flexibility without excess cable clutter. The nylon braided exterior adds a layer of durability that gives me confidence in its long-term performance, even in high-traffic areas. The Cat 8 cable's 40Gbps speed and 2000Mhz bandwidth are impressive, offering a significant boost in data transfer rates compared to previous cable generations. This has translated to smoother and faster connections, particularly noticeable when streaming high-definition content or engaging in online gaming.I've appreciated the shielded design, which has minimized interference and signal loss. This is especially important for maintaining consistent performance, whether for work or entertainment purposes. The flat design of the cable is advantageous for running it along walls or under carpets, allowing for a clean and unobtrusive installation. This versatility makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, enhancing its overall usability. However, I'm deducting one star due to the cable's slightly stiff nature. While the durability of the nylon braided exterior is appreciated, it does contribute to the cable's rigidity, which can make it a bit challenging to maneuver and route in tight spaces. In summary, the Cat 8 Ethernet Cable delivers on its promise of high-speed connectivity and durability. Its robust specifications, shielded design, and flat construction make it a suitable choice for various networking scenarios. While the stiffness of the cable is a minor drawback, it doesn't overshadow the overall positive experience. If you're seeking a reliable and high-speed Ethernet cable for your networking needs, the Cat 8 Ethernet Cable is a solid option that earns a four-star rating. It has certainly enhanced my networking setup and provided a noticeable improvement in performance.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
So I have a pc that I use primarily for gaming and work that doesn’t have a wifi chip due to my motherboard being tiny and my gpu being very chonky. I understand a cat8 cable is probably overkill for my usage but it was the same price as a cat6 so why not. This thing no joke took my Ethernet speed from 100mbps to 500+ mbps. It’s fast, braided, and flat which is great because it makes it a lot easier to fold up and to stick to the wall. It also comes with these little brackets and nails if you want to use those as opposed to the command strip method like I did.Highly recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality cable
I was tired of the tv Bluetooth hit and miss connection. Bought this cable to directly wire my router to the tv. Routed the cable thru the wall and out by tv. Worked great. Cable is nice and flat routes easily. Seems durable and hooked up quickly.
Good speed, looks great!
Using to connect my PlayStation to modem. Works really well and looks great. Flat cable allows for slick organization, and lays flat against baseboard inline round cable that coils. Fast speeds!
Excellent quality
