Great football. Easy to throw and catch, even for a beginner. The grooves help with learning finger placement. The bright color makes playing even in low light, fun. Great buy.

We borrowed my neighbors nerf ball to play with in our pool and the colorful coating peeled off in the water. I felt terrible about it so I got this new one for him. It is made so much better and has these strips of coating on the outside that are for gripping the ball better. I can see that these strips will also help to keep the coating more secure. Its a very nice ball.

My kids LOVE playing with this NERF football. They loved it so much that they used it for a pool game and that's how we learned the hard way not to get the ball DRENCHED. Unfortunately, the first football never recovered after the pool game, but we love these footballs so much that we ordered a second one!Pros: Lightweight, perfect size!Cons: Do NOT get wet.

Just as good as the nerf footballs of old. Grip and texture top notch as always. Always held up in the weather and landing in puddles/mud. That said, the water is also its fatal flaw. This football is NOT made for pool/beach submersion and I knew that when I went to my friend's apartment pool late at night where we had no other pool toy or ball to play with and I accepted the ball had reached the end of the line. We had a blast throwing this for about an hour before it was filled with water and heavy as a brick. Despite days and weeks squeezing the ball, standing on it, and leaving it in the sun, the water wouldn't come out and I was forced to throw it away (which I had anticipated). If you need a football for the pool/beach, then an old fashioned 100% RUBBER football (not synthetic or composite) from the dollar store or DICK's will serve you much better.

This football really brought me and my son closer together. We played every night. I'd throw the ball to him, and he'd throw it back to me. As the weeks passed, my son grew and got stronger. We started throwing the ball farther and farther. The long game of catch eventually grew to include routes, over the shoulder catches, and imaginary touchdown celebrations. The football was up to the challenge every step of the way. It was made for us. It was a part of us.Then one dreadful day, my son took it into the pool with him. it soaked up water like a thirsty camel preparing for a long haul across the desert. The ball, once light and seemingly filled with joy, became heavy. Throwing it was like trying to loft a medicine ball. Shedding tears, we decided it was time to throw the ball away.As I look back on those days, so many short weeks ago, I often ponder what might have been had the ball not morphed into a medicine ball due to the water obsorbtion. Could my son have played college ball? Might he have been a wide receiver in the NFL? We may never know.But this I DO know: That ball brought us together for a period of time that when we were otherwise drifting apart. I will forever be indebted to it.Buy one; you won't regret it!

The ridges make this ball very easy to grip! Great for little kids to throw and catch. And it’s even easy to catch and throw in the winter with gloves. I especially like it as a mom with no athletic ability, because I can throw and catch it quite well without feeling stupid!

Watch out for the lawnmower!
This was hours of fun for kids on the school playground! It was easy for them to throw and catch. If someone got bonked in the head, it didn’t hurt too much. The only problem was that our grounds keeper drove over it with the lawnmower. If nerf ever makes a football that can stand up to our grounds keepers lawnmower I will buy a few of those. This one just got lost in our grass after fun was had.
