5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality, Great Value
We are not even done building this set, but I am beyond impressed with the quality. I’ve assembled IKEA furniture that was not as pinpoint accurate and well thought out as this pinball machine. My son is loving the assembly process, which has super detailed, clear instructions and has not had a single hiccup. We’re both excited to finish the assembly so he can start playing. It’s rated for 8 years old and higher and my son is 7, so we’re helping him a little with the assembly, which also makes for great quality time together. On nights when we’re working on the pinball machine, there isn’t even a mention of screen time, which points to how much he actually likes the set.You get 5-6 sheets of high quality particle board piece that will need to be punched out in order throughout the assembly process. Plus all the little pouches and bags of other materials needed. The pieces are laser cut and whoever designed the specs was very precise. Everything fits together smoothly with no issues. Nothing has broken and we have had no problems whatsoever.Cannot recommend this enough for kids who like to build things.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent instructions. Worked. Fun
It had an excellent instruction manual. Step by step and pictures to help make sure you assembled properly. Extra parts. Took 1 and 1/2 hours to assemble with an 8 year old and did it in two sessions. 8 year old did all the assembly and adult helped keep the project on course, helped interpret instructions and occasionally held a component while 8 year old completed step. Best is to pull the parts at the beginning of each assembly section rather than on the fly. Best to avoid popping out parts not needed as they are easier to find if in the precut pop out boards. Actually it is a bit of fun to find the parts before each section. The side, top and bottom component are done first so the end results do not reveal the ultimate results but completing each component felt rewarding.Once completed the game is fun and has the flipper action of a good pinball machine.Seems rugged considering an 8 year boy and 5 year old boy played it with the vigor you might expect of that age.A super experience for kids over computer games. They can learn a lot including some math for adding up points.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun and clear instructions!
Bought as a present for my daughter turning 8, we built about half of it together, then the rest by herself. She loves it! I was not sure how well it would work as we were building it, but the finished product is pretty impressive. The price is fantastic at $35! Very solid pieces and I didn’t really feel like we were in danger of breaking them. 10/10 would recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Decent quality, easy to assemble
So my 9 year old built it all by himself in a couple hours. It works pretty well. I was expecting the pieces to be flimsy and break easily based on past experience with similar things, but the pieces are sturdy enough and easy to assemble. My kid loves it!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great value overall
There are two parts to a kit like this. The first part is the assembly, which is the part I enjoy the most. The second part is the actual game when it's done, which I enjoyed far more than I thought I would. But there are some caveats. The first thing I'm uncertain about is that the kit relies heavily on rubber bands. Rubber bands to degrade over time, so I would expect, given the type of rubber bands they use, to see the game start to deteriorate in a year or two. For thirty bucks, that wasn't a dealbreaker. It's just an unfortunate part about the product. If you're buying this for a kid, I think that's not necessarily even a problem. The game is cool, but you know how kids are. If they still enjoy it after two years, that would be kind of odd.The assembly is extremely easy. The instructions were some of the most clear instructions I have ever seen on one of these wooden model kits, and I've assembled a lot of them. I think this would be a great project for someone who is between 8-12 years old to do with an older sibling or parent. The game itself is pretty cool, and I think most kids would really like it for a while. It functions far more smoothly than I thought it would, almost like a real pinball machine. The actual game is kind of mundane for an adult, though. I scored a perfect on my first go, and that was despite losing two balls to the gravity well because the pop-outs surprised me. I still had two balls left.I think the pop outs are the biggest detriments to the game. Yeah, they are really cool. But they shoot out of those tiny slots like rockets. The first one flew over my head to who knows where. I still haven't found that one yet, but since I didn't exactly see it happen, I had no idea what had happened. I thought I had broken something, so I played a bit longer to see if I could figure it out. The second one hit me square in the face. Once I knew what was going to happen, the rest was pretty easy. The four star rating is largely because I don't think having projectiles shooting at uncertain intervals like this is necessarily a good idea for a children's toy. But hey. What do I know? I was shooting spring loaded missiles from GI Joe toys when I was 8. I only know one person that lost an eye, so it's not that bad. (that was a joke)
5.0 out of 5 stars "It's Amazing and Super Fun"
My eight year old bought this with her birthday money. I asked her to tell me what I should write as a review, and here is her response:I think it's very amazing and cool. It doesn't break as easy as you'd think. It's very well made. It is very, very fun.
5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest Invention Ever ( A 12 year old’s review)
I have received this product, and it was in fact a really fun project to build. It was easy to build, and it came with parts that could help with the construction. However, the switches didn’t work that well, and during the time I built the pinball machine, I had to put in a bunch of tiny types of rubber bands but it was fine though. I will have to give it a five star rating because I liked it a lot. The game was kinda difficult to understand, and I don’t know where to put it now. It took me probably a couple hours for me as a 12 year old who thought it was fun and enthusiastic ! You should buy this for your kids because they will love it till the end…
Good challenge
My daughter (12) loved putting this together. Fun project! Does she play with it now, no not really. I would suggest think it’s like lego, more about the build.
Consiglio l'acquisto
A mio figlio è piaciuto tantissimo costruirlo, si diverte giocandoci e a sfidare gli amici. Lo consiglio!
Amazing game, Build up quality is good.
The media could not be loaded. I have ordered this game for my 7 year old niece. She is enjoying the game a lot and ofcourse less screen time. It took us around 3-4 hours to build the game. The guidance book is very detailed and helpful, it needs a lot of patience and focus to assemble the parts. Even, we all are playing and reliving our days as we all have played Pinball in our childhood. Build up quality is good, overall it's an excellent toy.
Amazing product - enjoyed assembling it with my daughter
We all have played pinball as kids and now I got a chance to assemble a set with my 7 year old daughter who loved doing it. This is an excellent toy and the quality is good too. I would highly recommend this.
