These are Perfect for the 4-inch crucible. I had been using tongs to lift the crucible from the forge and to our molten metal. I wanted something more secure and these work great. I still need to lift the crucible from the forge with tongs, but now I switch to these tongs for the pour.

This thing works very well. I typically use a 4Kg crucible and I wish the tongs were a little sturdier. I had to bend the clamps a little to make them fit the crucible better. I still like them and glad I bought them, but for next pair I will look for something a little stronger.

These tongs are very well made, I was surprised how sturdy they were. I enjoy the grip that is on the handles, and I have had no issues grabbing a #3 crucible in and out of the forge. Will purchase again if I ever need to.
