I love the sleek design and the color is beautiful! I purchased this for my son and it keeps his food warm throughout his school day until he was ready to eat. It does not leak in his bookbag like the others he had prior.There are some issues. Where the tip folds down there is a plastic piece that holds the lid on. It did break off. However! I was sent another one within a few days of reporting the issue.Customer Service is great! They have a 2 year warranty and they have no problem honoring it!This is the best box I've purchased and most likely the only brand I'll be purchasing from here out.The storage is larger than most and there is a removable tray that allows you to put more food. I was able to fit 2 sandwiches in there. I also love the ease of cleaning due to the removable tray.Great buy!

Bought two modern Bentgo boxes for my children for school. Pros- Keeps items separate and from leaking on each other, protects foods from being smashed, easy clean up of inner tray. Cons-one of the boxes broke. BUT items are covered under a full warranty! I reached out to customer service and they couldn’t have been more helpful. I received a replacement box within four days from when I reached out to when I had the new box in hand. I highly recommend and would buy again.

However, the only drawback we faced was the loss of some compartment pieces.First and foremost, the lunch box's design is fantastic. It has been a reliable companion for my kids at school and for my own work lunches.One minor issue we faced was losing some of the compartment pieces over time. While the main lunch box itself remains intact, the smaller compartments that help organize the food have somehow gone missing. Unfortunately, it's challenging to find replacement parts or extra compartments for this specific lunch box model.To address this issue, I reached out to Bentgo's customer service for assistance in finding replacement parts, but the availability of spare parts seems limited. It would be helpful if Bentgo offered an option to purchase extra compartment pieces separately, as it would significantly extend the life of the lunch box and add to its value.Despite the setback with the missing pieces, the Bentgo® Modern 4-Compartment Bento-Style Lunch Box remains a hit in our household. I decided to spend the extra money this school year and get these for my high school boys who need to bring a lot of food to school because they have after school practices. This is a significant upgrade to what we were using before in that these hold much more food securely. They are heavy and large, which is something to consider when buying these. I included photos of a common type/size of lunch bag the kids use today so you can see that these do fit in here and the lid closes. You cannot fit a drink in the main bag part with the Bentgo box, however, this type of bag has a bottom part that zips open and can hold a drink along with a zip front pouch and back mesh pocket for snacks etc. So this will work for us. Just make sure you measure your lunch bag/box if you have to carry this size Modern Bentgo. Inside the box you have a large compartment on the left that has a removable divider so you can use the entire space if you need to. The right side does not have a removable divider. The box easily snaps shut and feels extremely durable, like it will last for many years. Overall, for the hefty price, I believe if you are looking for something that will last, need to pack a big lunch for teen boys/others, and need to eliminate the headache of using other containers that leak or are cheap plastic, this is a great investment! The company has an amazing hassle free warranty, exchange, and customer service program with an email and phone contact for support along with a one year extended warranty on this product. It is also very gift-able, in that it comes in a nice sturdy box with a handle on it. 6/25/2024 review update: I had to use the customer service support via email on the company website and can report that they do stand behind the product. I received a free replacement due to the hinges breaking on the box. The hinges will definitely break on these if you open them and put stress on it. I was washing them by hand and laying them open upside down to dry. This was putting too much tension on the hinges and it did not take too much for them to break. Unfortunately, the plastic hinges once broken cannot be repaired, rendering the lid and box useless. So my advice for washing is to hand wash and air dry with lid open but not upside down. Make sure anyone using a box knows not to put stress on the hinges of the lid. Once it breaks, you cannot repair it yourself as the hinges are plastic. A redesign of the lid which makes the hinges more durable or even replaceable somehow would make this product much more appealing given the product is pretty costly. You want the product to last. Given that the company is replacing them if they break, I still can recommend them. It was really fast how the company responded and I had my replacement within a week.

Edit: customer service were very helpful. Explained what i needed to provide so they could decide to cover a new bentgo. Which is great because my son loves them. Student is in grade 5 used this for 5 months Sept to Jan and it broke. I'm disappointed because it was a very nice size and easy to use. I honestly the clip would have broke first because it seemed fragile but it was the back clip that broke.

I was super excited to receive my Bentgo products. I was buying a kids bento as a gift and didn’t know they have the modern collection. I have tried looking for a bento for myself in the past but they were designed more for kids or too flimsy.Wow! The quality on this is amazing. I fell in love with the colour so much so that I bought the matching salad bowl too. Both the glass salad bowl and bento match my simply modern water bottle as you can see in the picture.The tray is quite deep and can be pulled out for easy washing and reheating (no more than 3min as per printed on the actual container).I can’t comment on it being leak-proof because I usually do sandwiches, veggie sticks and fruit. No dips. But the seal on the lid looks to be good quality as well.Lastly, not too heavy either!
