5.0 out of 5 stars Two different lid types. One great, one less so.
I really like these bottles. So much so I wanted several to rotate them through the dishwasher (or at least the lids). I started with two of the stainless body, licorice (black/gray) lids. They’re great, and similarly to the Contigo hot/cold mug I have, the mechanism flips open so it can more easily and thoroughly be cleaned (by hand or just better flow in the dishwasher). I’d seen some reviews and pictures showing a different style and complaining about mold. That style had a fixed mechanism and unlike the style that flips open, while in the dishwasher it will stay tightly closed. The flip open mechanism basically means it’s in the “open” position and water can flow through it while it’s being washed.I ordered a few more — one of the two packs was on a great price. I assumed this non-flip style from some reviews was just the older style and the flip one is the new one, but the new light blue “iced aqua” ones I got were the old style. They have the old models mixed in with the new. Looking more closely now at the pictures on Bolo, it does accurately show that it’s the older style if you know what to look for.In addition to what seems to me to be a clearly inferior and more mold prone mechanism, the old style doesn’t have a button lock. You can see in the pictures that some of them don’t. The lid that you can flip over the spout to keep dirt away from it also is a bit smaller. As of this writing, blue corn, dragon fruit, juniper, licorice, pink lemonade, and spirulina are listed and have the new style lid. These colors are also shown on Contigo’s website as colors offered, whereas the other colors listed here on Bolo are not shown on their current product list for “Cortland Chill 2.0.” There is also a Merlot and Lavender color for the new version on Contigo’s site that I don’t yet see on Bolo. Stick with those and avoid the older style.Beyond that, the new style is great. I used to use plastic water cups throughout the day, but my cats would get into it and I'd have to switch to a new one. Or they'd tip it over. With this, I can flip the little dirt cover lid over the spout to keep them from licking it, and while they can still tip it over and it'll make quite a thunk, it seems to seal solid and not leak. Of course it keeps things far colder than a plastic cup too, which is awesome. 24 oz holds a nice amount of water. I'd used my 20 oz Contigo hot/cold mug for water sometimes and it seemed like with ice in it, there wasn't much left for water and I'd have to refill pretty often. The lip is wide enough that I can get ice into it from my through-the-door ice maker. I have quite a few stainless water bottles I got as freebies from conferences with a lid so narrow I have to manually put cubes in one at a time, and even then some cubes are too big. I switched to these to replace those styles, and it's well worth the money just to not need to deal with that annoyance. With my LG through-the-door water, I do have to hold the bottle out a little bit and press the paddle trigger myself -- it's not quite wide enough to align with the water spout if I press the trigger with the bottle. But that's not really hard to do, even one handed, by just sticking one of your fingers out a bit. So far I'm sticking with the plain stainless body, as they say it can go through the dishwasher. I haven't tried that yet, but it's also very easy to wash by hand with a bottle brush. I may just stick with that, but the unpainted stainless probably will hold up better anyway. I do put the lid through the dishwasher, flipped open, as I think that will clean it better than I could manually. All varieties have dishwasher safe lids. The painted bodies are not recommended to go through the dishwasher, but their lids still can.
5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Hydration Companion!
I've been using the Contigo Water Bottle for a while now, and it has become my trusty sidekick for staying hydrated on the go.First off, the design is both sleek and practical. The one-handed operation is a game-changer; I can easily sip or gulp down water without any spills, whether I'm at the gym, in the car, or at my desk. The leak-proof feature gives me peace of mind, knowing it won't accidentally drench my bag.The durability of this bottle is impressive. It's been dropped, bumped, and knocked around, and it still looks and functions like new. The material is also easy to clean, which is a huge plus for me.Temperature retention is another highlight. Cold drinks stay icy for hours, even on scorching summer days, and hot beverages maintain their warmth for longer than I expected. The size is just right for my daily needs, and it fits comfortably in most cup holders.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely amazing
I’d post a picture but I think it grew legs and left me like everyone else does. I lost my precious water bottle at the 3 weeks mark and then I guess it went to go get milk at the gas station. Now for serious though this brand is amazing and I’m a loyal customer for life. The bottles stay insulated and the newer ones don’t leak. Also there’s a lock for the push button!! I love that, it can’t accidentally open on impact when my tiny little baby hands drop it, because I know I will. I love their sleek look and easy access for drinking, I drink way more water with this bottle (except when I’m too lazy to go fill it up, lazy people problems am I right??) Lastly, these water bottles keep cold for a lonnnnng time, I can put ice in before work at 7am and still have freezing cold water the NEXT morning to take my pills. Yes, normally one bottle lasts me that long because I dread going upstairs and filling it again 😫 so I make it last. Eventually I’ll have a bottle for my room and a bottle for work. Which is what I had before it ran away. I’m definitely buying a new one when I get some money saved up for it. Highly recommend though! Oh also, this newer version is easy to pull apart and clean! You can’t lose.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome bottle with great temperature retention
This bottle holds it's temperature exceedingly well. Had it sitting in the sun for over five hours on a 95°F+ day and the ice cubes hardly melted at all.Pros:- Temperature retention is shockingly good- Nice form factor w/ sleek design- Sturdy construction- Super easy to clean (the lever to pull the spout stopper down is a game-changer!)- Carrying handle is convenient- Drinking spout and lid don't leak at all, even when getting tossed around in a backpack all dayCons:- Plain stainless steel attracts smudgesOverall: Well worth the price. Still can't believe those ice cubes didn't melt.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!
I love this bottle! It works great for both hot and cold liquids, and it's easy to clean. Although the plastic inside the lid got stained by my hot tea, I appreciate that the bottle is completely spill-free and it fits perfectly into my car's cup holder.
5.0 out of 5 stars No leaks
Easy to open, keeps drink cold, it's durable, performance is great,
4.0 out of 5 stars Love the sqeeze open feature and dishwasher safe
Contigo are, or at least have been my favorite water bottles. I like that they hold 24oz, fit in my cup holders, have the squeeze to open the drink spout feature. This particular lid shape is harder to drink from. The old lid shape is perfect. It was easy to waterfall the water so I could keep it clean longer. I do like that you can open up the lid to get the inside cleaner. I like that there isn't a coating that would eventually peel from dishwashing. Some of my other Contigo water bottles come with a beautiful color that I love. Then a few months of dishwasher and the paint starts to peel. Silver to start with doesn't have that issue. My son says it leaks around where the lid screws on when he uses it. I haven't noticed that.So to sum it up, this is a good water bottle and would be great if the shape of the drinking area was the same as the older style.
Très bon
J’aime bien cette bouteille, je met de la glace et l’eau reste froide toute la journée même quand je la remplis plusieurs fois et l’eau n’a pas de goût bizarre comme d’autres bouteilles que j’ai eu.
Practical & elegant
The product is of top quality, sturdy, elegant, durable and practical for usage & cleaning.
Excellent Waterbottle
This is our second purchase of these waterbottles. They are fantastic. The no spill spout is great and ice remains in the waterbottle all day!
Es buenísimo
Para mantener mis bebidas frías o calientes
Practico
