I love using 10" squares or Layer Cakes and 5" squares for both large and small quilt projects. Currently I am making an EPP(English Paper Piecing) Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt. The fabric I received is good quality and patterns as well as color collection that also is a bargain. Bolo also carries the paper piecing precision cut pieces and templates in a variety of sizes.

These are not fat quarters. They are 10x10 inch squares, roughly 1/4 of a fat quarter. At the time of purchase mine cost .35 cents a piece for 50 pieces. That would've been $1.42 per fat quarter which go for closer to $3.99 in Houston TXso this is a good deal if you're looking for economical fabric for crafting. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five because the squares are mostly 10x10, but some are a slight bit short although not enough to be a big problem for me. But it does matter if you're in need an exact measurements for a pattern to turn out the correct size.I liked the colours & prints. I do wish there were more purples, maybe a few browns, but over all the colour collection has enough variety I can work with. They're perfect for beginning quilters for practice, or small craft projects, doll clothing, bookmarks etc. There's enough material here to make several pillow fronts, or a small child size quilt/security blanket topper. If you want twin size, you should get two packages. But for the cost, you could easily get enough to do a king size without breaking the bank. I will likely buy again if I need more craft fabric.

As above, love them. Used them in a quilt that has diatom across, and put them in rows Ablso can easily cut them into 5 inch squares. Very pleased with them.

Like other reviewers, I do not believe this is actually 100% cotton- compared to my quilt cotton fabrics from fabric stores, these squares look shiny and feel more like polyester or a poly blend.Some of the fabrics are SUPER cute and trendy, but some are ugly or badly printed. Maybe 5- 10 out of 50 squares were questionable. I will still use them and probably incorporate them into a scrap quilt, but if you’re looking for quality cotton fabric this is not the item you’re looking for. I think these would be perfect for a child to learn to sew with, or for small projects where fabric content doesn’t matter, like scrunchies, scrapbooking, or doll clothes. I would 100% recommend against using these to create hot pads or oven mitts- I’m sure it would melt in a heartbeat.Overall, I’m giving these a 3/5 due to the two issues of questionable fabric content and a few faint prints. These are not ideal for my intended use (quilting), but they may be perfect for somebody else’s crafting needs.
