I had a knee replacement on August 31st, and as soon as I was healed enough I applied Mederma like 3 to 4 times a week. I've noticed my scar getting lighter and it's peeling quite a bit, which tells me I'm getting new skin growth! Shared my photo so you can see how light my scar is already and the actual peeling! I bought this product at least 3 times, and still, each time I would be surprised by its ability to remove a scar. I used this product to remove an old scar that was on my arm for about 5 years, and after 1 month of constantly applying this product, the color of the scar became noticeably faded. After applying this product on the skin, it would tickle a bit, but definitely bearable.

I like this brand of scar cream and use both this and the night cream on a recent surgery scar. Both smell pretty awful, although the submarine sandwich with extra onions smelling night cream is by far the smelliest of the two. Thankfully, the day cream scent is much more tolerable and less off putting. The silicone does flake and make a mess. This is worse if the wound is scratched. It’s kind of a vicious cycle since the cream tends to make my scar itch like crazy. Also, if the silicone flakes fall onto a glass or reflective surface, they can cause quite a mess. Otherwise, the cream applies easily and my scar appears to be both fading and flattening. That’s awesome considering the long scar goes across nearly my entire neck. Just wish it weren’t so messy.

Sorry you're about to stare at my belly button, it's bittersweet to share this to you. I was diagnosed with cancer in my 30s, leading to a major surgery and a three month recovery period, and nearly a six month rehab period. All that being said, I came out a better person in some aspects but it wasn't easy getting there. I'm tell you this because it goes hand in hand.No woman wants to ever think that would be affected by the big bad c word, much less bare the scars of gives you. I have been using this cream for almost 6 months, I didn’t see any changes on my burn scars for the first two months but I still keep applying it once a day. I started to notice there is a slight improvement on the discoloration on the fourth month, you really have to be patient with the effects of the product because it really works pretty slowly for my burn scars.

I have been using this product for the past six weeks to prevent post-surgical scars. So far, I am happy with the results. Additionally, I have been using it to try to fade old scars. Overall, it seems to be more of a prevention gel for new scars than a miracle worker for the old scars.

For whatever reason, my skin seems to scar easily. I'm a 55 yr young female. I bought Mederma Advanced Scar Gel after reading reviews because I've had this scar on my ankle bone for almost a year. It happened when I fell on the treadmill and scraped up my ankle pretty bad. It looked horrible (to me) all purply and obvious, still, after all these months. I noticed today after using this product for maybe a month, omg there's actually a difference. I'm always trying things for neck wrinkles, brown face spots, etc. and no product ever seems to do what it says. Don't even get me started on crepe erase. I figured it must be genetics or something. I can't believe this ACTUALLY does what it says. It is also working on my forever bug bite marks too! So thrilled.

I am using this to smooth the hyperpigmentated keloids from bug bites on my arms. It is too soon to fully gauge its effectiveness fully, but I do see a very minute/perceptible difference in their height. The topical is definitely affecting the skin area around them. The healthy skin is peeling off like a chemical peel. I would recommend using a “heavier” moisturizer like shea butter on the surrounding areas before applying. I do have to resist the urge to speed up the process of sloughing by pulling off skin. I apply it just before I go to bed. It is easy to squirt out more than is needed, so practice to not squeeze the tube. As these keloids are over a decade old, I do expect a longer length of time to see any real progress. It is not greasy and absorbs very quickly! The tube size will last for a while as I using very little each time.

Tuve una rinoplastia, y me ayudó bastante en no dejar ninguna marca. Debes ser constante y seguir las instrucciones de tu médico, en menos de dos meses la cicatriz ya no era notaria. Repito solo la recomiendo en cicatrices moderadas, ya que al aplicarla en la cicatriz de una mamoplastia el resultado fue mínimo .
