This a is a great shampoo if you have fine hair. It just takes a small amount, a third of what the generic shampoos at the stores take. So although it is more pricey, you are using a lot less product to clean your hair. It really cleans it well. It does add some volume too, esp if you do a blow out you will notice it more. It isn't drastic or anything. But it does add some volume and I feel no sticky residue or build up on my hair, and it smells good too! would recommend!

I am a perimenopausal woman who has noticed changes in my hair texture after turning 40. This shampoo is much better than cheaper drugstore ones I've used previously. It cleanses hair thoroughly but doesn't make it feel stripped or "squeaky clean" (a sign that all the natural oils have been washed away). It doesn't dry out my scalp or irritate it. My hair feels thicker and fuller, with more movement, but with a lot of shine. Feels healthy all the way to the ends (I use in conjunction with Redken Volume Injection conditioner). And the fragrance is amazing- clean and slightly floral. I will use this for as long as they make it, I can't go back to drugstore shampoos anymore. I bought liters of it during Ulta's sale to maximize savings and make sure I don't run out.

This was recommended by the Blowout Professor but I graduated to buy it due to the many reviews that it was drying. I have fine, thick, low porosity hair and 8 struggle with it getting greasy at the roots and dry at ends. I finally took the plunge and couldn't be happier. My natural waves are more defined, I have volume, and the grease is gone. My scalp feels very clean while my hair feels soft. I recommend this for my particular hair type. Use a hair mask and good conditioner to combat any drying effects.

I like the shampoo. It smells nice and does give my hair some body. It was extremely hard to take tough outer plastic off from top of bottle. I used a steak knife, and pliers to finally get it off, but in the process, I damaged it a bit.

If you have thin hair and are looking for a volume boost, this shampoo is for you! I can still recommend this shampoo to almost anyone as it provides a very effective and thorough but not aggressive clean. However, if your scalp is very dry and/or sensitive, or you have dyed hair (this will strip your color I'm sure), I would point you elsewhere.Review:My hair is very dense but only medium/fine and wavy, and is very porous, and my scalp tends to be pretty oily; this shampoo is very effective at cleaning my hair without being stripping at all! It leaves my hair feeling otherworldly levels of soft and poofy. I already have a decent amount of natural volume but this shampoo in combination with the conditioner from the same line brings it to a whole other level; after blow-drying, my shoulder-blade length hair will arch out an entire an inch or two off my scalp and be gloriously soft and bouncy. The silicone in this formula is extremely lightweight and does not weigh down my hair. My hair is pretty unruly and will get tangled easily but the silicones in this product are very smoothing and make brushing my hair significantly easier and prevent many tangles from happening to begin with. The only thing I dislike about this product is the initial very strong and feminine floral scent, but it doesn't really stay in my hair and quickly fades after I blow-dry.Usage Advice:A little goes a long way! Professional products like this tend to be pricier than drugstore not only because of higher quality ingredients, but they tend to be more concentrated as they are not diluted with as much water like drugstore shampoos tend to be; a quarter-sized amount works fine for me, so the bottle lasts me months! Gently massage into your scalp with your fingers, focusing on your scalp, as your mids and ends do not get nearly as dirty and you don't want to strip them of their oils. If it doesn't foam aggressively DON'T WORRY, this means it is working! Finally, as with ANY silicone product, you should pair this with a dedicated clarifying shampoo (The one by this same brand is fantastic!) ESPECIALLY if you are also using the volume injection conditioner; no regular shampoo will be enough to keep the silicones from building up on your scalp and the base of your hair.

I did research on YouTube and this shampoo was recommended from a salon so I thought I would give it a try. I used to buy shampoo at Target, but I didn’t like any of them. My hair would be flat. This shampoo does add volume and it also feels nice as you lather it while you shampoo. I love the smell. This is now my favorite! Plus the bottle is pretty big so it will last for a long time.

This is my new favorite shampoo and conditioner. It works great to tame frizz without weighing down my fine hair. An added bonus is that it smells so good too. I have been using Aveda products for 15+ years but is switching to Redken Volume instead. It's more affordable and is available in liters for half the price of an Aveda liter. Highly recommend this shampoo and conditioner.

I wanted to love this. I have very fine soft hair, but a lot of it and I have trouble getting volume. This did give me a bit of volume but the other side effects made it not worth it. It left my hair so incredibly tangled, frizzy as hell, ever after styling, and just rough feeling and not at all soft. The search continues. It does smell amazing and give some volume though.
