My ex borrowed my tripod right after I bought it and returned it sans adapter. He insisted there wasn't one - which isn't likely since he had no issues using it - but then he never was the sharpest tool in the shed. I'm betting it sits in the bottom of his Nikon bag and he has no idea what it is or where it came from.Anyhow, I kept forgetting about the missing part until I would pull out the pod to use it. Then I would try to jerry-rig it up which was never successful. Ugh! 😒 I finally got smart and searched for a replacement. This was the first that came up and it fits perfectly on my Mactrem PT55. You wouldn't know it wasn't the original. I can't wait to finally use my tripod the way it was intended!!!

I bought the Victiv 72 inch Camera Tripod last year which is an excellent tripod for the money. I use it primarily for my small space spotting scope and binoculars, but will sometimes use it for my cell phone or video camera. I recently lost the mounting plate that came with it when I disposed of my old binoculars and forgot to take off the attached mounting plate, DUH! So I needed to replace the plate and bought a pair of these. They are exactly like the originals and work great. So now I keep one in a handy place where I know I'll find it and one on the tripod at all times.So if you find yourself doing something silly like I did or just somehow lost your camera mounting plate for your tripod, check out and see if this one is compatible, and if so, buy it! In fact,buy 2!

This is a DaVoice Quick-Release Plate for a variety of lower - to- middle-price tripods. I was looking for a back-up plate for the Torjim 67" Tripod, which I like a lot. After a lot of searching, I found this plate which had a 43 mm X 43 mm dovetail base which is recessed all the way around (and the same size as the Torjim). The heights matched See the side-on picture. The Davoice is on the left, the original Torjim on the right. The DaVoice Plate was from what I could see, nearly identical (slight difference in top shape) and the 67" Torjim was listed as being suitable for this plate. But it is not. The DaVoice dovetail ends in a vertical base, the Torjim dovetail does not. (see photos) The DaVoice Plate will not fit into the Torjim recess, in any orientation. Sadly, when I found the DaVoice, I was excited enough to mention it in a review. I apologise. I will return it and keep on hunting for the proper-fitting plate.

I got the 43mm, because I recently got a tripod from a friend but haven’t had a mount, so I bought this and it’s really good! It goes on snugly, and it sits perfectly in the tripod. Is worth the price for sure, good quality, and easy enough to figure out! I definitely recommend this product for anyone who needs a mount :)
