5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Works great!!
I inherited a bad digestive system from my mom side as well as my dad’sI’m always having to try to find things that help me with my digestive system that’s natural. This product by itself does not have a very good taste, but if you will blend local honey and cinnamon in with the oat milk, it taste amazing
5.0 out of 5 stars Gotta make shake correct... Lost 50 lbs since last year
Guess it's time I write a review since I've been using it faithful for over a year. The suggestion is to replace one meal a day with the product. That's how I began and it works that way if you can do it. For me it's about really counting calories and realizing over 2000 a day is really no good even if your eating healthy foods. I started by doing this basically everyday... 2 egg white and 2 eggs for breakfast. That's 200 calories. Shake for lunch 1 serving of the protein, 2 banana, 2 cups coconut milk, cinnamon, spinach, enough ice to make it like a milk shake. That's about 350 right there. Add another 50 to 100 calories of almond butter and it really makes it taste pretty good. Can sub in various things to your liking. If you can keep to those for breakfast and lunch it leaves you about 900 or so for a decent dinner. Salmon and rice and broccoli or chicken and potatoes. Just keep it to things like that and you'll loose lbs really quick. Forget about burgers, pasta, pizza unless you want to gain weight. For me it's about loosing weight and shedding cholesterol. My cholesterol and a1c have both dropped but I'm still in the upper range on cholesterol even after going from 230's to 180's. I've seemed to plateau where I am now. Experimenting with knocking out breakfast altogether now and it seems to work if I stay busy. Problem is that the days I work I'm bored and tend to eat more. 2 days to gain what it takes 2 weeks to lose but that's the same with any diet I guess. For the chocolate one i find i like it best with almond butter. The vanilla one a lot of people aren't a fan. I like the vanilla with more fruit like blueberries, raspberries, etc. I also like to add cinnamon, and I've even used things like canned pumpkin to thicken it up. A little caramel never hurt either. Whatever you can think of without adding a ton of calories to it. Can also add some vanilla extract to help it all blend and bring out the vanilla flavor. The other gindry product I use is the triple probiotic which seems like it does make my life a little more regular. Interested to see if it helps my lab results but it's going to be a while before I can see.
1.0 out of 5 stars Natural flavors???
Update: The company contacted me to refund my money but I've already given it away and just taken the loss. Lesson learned and will not get Gundry products again. Second time my loss. This product contains natural flavors and xanthum gum (which is not good for you!) and it has a bare minimum of 10g of protein. Plus it is non-returnable ... which is would not have gotten it if I realized that. This false advertising by Dr Gundry is representative of the rest of his products too. Not a happy camper here and will not consider Gundry products ever again!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good idea too expensive! Made my own!
Good idea! Most anti-inflammatory shakes have at least one ingredient I'm not supposed to have. So this one definitely has it all for me. Except the price..doesn't get me through the month and I can't afford the price tag. So, I made my own. Using the exact same ingredients minus the sweetener. I could add a sweetener, but I can get that from the milk I use or add fruit. I read people talking about the taste..I really don't want a health shake that tastes like a milkshake. It triggers for me the desire for more chocolate or a treat. I do want good health. I don't mind something tasting like it's got good stuff in it for me. So, I go on Bolo and buy Anthony's Organic ingredients. Made my own and it's pretty good. Add some nut milk and a fresh/frozen fruit..filling and highly nutritious that lasts 4 times as long for less money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes great
Very healthy
3.0 out of 5 stars Multiple "deadly disruptors" in this protein powder
I am new to Gundry's work and very excited about it, working lectins out of my diet on the daily and reading The Plant Paradox. I'm a little disappointed in the protein powder though, for five reasons.1. It's not organic, so it contains herbicides/pesticides, likely Roundup; one of the 7 "deadly disruptors" he describes in his book.2. "Natural flavors" - a garbage-can, ingredient-masking category that can include gluten, artificial sweeteners, emulsifiers, preservatives, and more; all of these are in the list of the 7 deadly disruptors.3. Xanthan gum; it's unknown how this ingredient impacts the microbiome and gut integrity, but it's known that many gums and thickeners are foreign to the GI tract and likely causing inflammation.4. Plastic packaging: it says "BPA free" but he explains in the book how the things used to *replace* BPA are as bad or worse for us. We are eating microplastics when we eat this protein powder; anther of the 7 deadly disruptors.5. Stevia - too much! It's too sweet. Stevia stimulates insulin release. Tone it down or leave it out, as you recommend we do in our diets. Thanks for your good work Dr. Gundry, and I hope you'll re-evaluate the protein powders.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Fabulous!
I don't know why a couple reviews said it was terrible, maybe one review. I have tried many protein drinks and this is the best and I've noticed no side effects like some of the others. That's because Dr. Gundry knows about lectins and what is NOT good for the body. I mix it with frozen blueberries and coconut milk and it's beyond amazing. Worth every cent.
2.0 out of 5 stars A price increase of over $20 dollars in the last year.
I really liked this powder. Purchased several times over last couple of years. But this is just price gouging.
