5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, used daily
Im a truck driver and over the years I've learned from both my personal vehicle and recently the hassle of driving in winter with a semi. Road service takes ages and has to figure out how to connect to your battery post. Not all trucks have the same jump locations. Plus unlike personal vehicles, service calls for semi are 3x to 5+x more expensive. You can't depend on other nearby truckers to boost you, they either don't want to or don't have a cable. Either scenario is understandable which is why a need for one of these was on my mind for years.Having used smaller portable jumps on personal vehicle, I did the math on how much power I needed. Then I thought a bigger battery would last longer and possibly run some power for my accessories during my 10H break. I went from deciding on a $200-$300 booster to this.Main reason I'm posting this is to share my experience and debunk other reviewers. If you follow the instructions, you shouldn't have an issue jumping your truck instantly. You're not supposed to wait 60 seconds. It clearly tells you to start within 60 seconds. This is elementary English that means you have a 60 second countdown before it stops channeling max energy to cables. That's why the step before turning on is to connect the cables. This is common knowledge on all boosters. It's also common knowledge to turn on the booster vehicle after connecting wires with traditional cables. Then starting booster vehicle after a couple seconds.Another issue I see is people not knowing how to connect this portable to their main batteries on a semi. Makes and models have different safety jump posts, some don't. But your lack of knowledge is the issue. All you need to do is connect red to live and black to negative or ground. The device will visually alert you with a countdown if it is connected properly. Now I use this daily to power portable fans and keep my phone and accessories charged. The power bank can do this all week before needing to charge. Winter is coming up and I'll be ready again. With the way our economy is, I tend to charge drivers for helping them. Only $20, nothing absurd. Sometimes they give me more and even invite me to dinner at truck stop. This device is saving me a lot of money and has already paid itself within ten months. If it doesn't last two years, I will be updating this review. But so far I'd recommend it.Just be aware of shipping. I live upstairs in apartment and delivery driver left it downstairs on other side of building. I made a big deal out of it until I found a neighbor home a few weeks later and told me he held on to it, was sitting outside his door and showed me how it was placed through his security camera. My guess is the driver thought it was too heavy and hoped a neighbor would give it to me. But my address wasn't on the label, only my name. Make sure you are home, have a security camera, or have it delivered to safe location. Because Bolo will ask you to make police report before starting a refund if it is lost. As this is an expensive item.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Jump Pack! Crappy buckles
I own a diesel repair shop, and do everything from diesel pickups, semis, tractors, etc. I didn't figure I would use this a lot, but ever since I bought it, I find myself finding a use for it all the time! Very convenient! I have jump started 4 (8-12L) Semis that were completely dead, and cranked for 30 seconds or more each, on 1/2 a charge with this before. My only gripe is the case. Which is beautifully constructed, save for the pull tabs on the zippers, and the buckles. Absolute garbage, they broke in about a week of mild use. So, I replaced the pull tabs, as shown. And installed some field repair buckles to replace the cracked originals, as shown. I don't know why they would cut corners there, when everything else is a beautiful package. But, it's fixed now, you can find both of those products on Bolo as well for cheap. Also, be advised. This comes with the quick charge cable, you do not need to buy it separately!
5.0 out of 5 stars Baddest Mofo in our Diesel Shop

5.0 out of 5 stars Bad ass product
My tractor trailer was bone dead the other day when I arrived at my job site. I pulled out the boost pack that I had never used yet. Think this is not going to start this truck because it's is bone dead. Nothing . No lights at all. Hooked up the cables. Pushed power. And it started to count down from 60 seconds. So I jumped in the driver's seat and crossed my fingers. Turned the key. And that big old cummins isx spun over so fast. I was really amazed. I mean it did not crank slow. It spun really fast. I was really impressed. Very good product
5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute beast.
This unit will jump start a battle ship. I've had trucks running a 4 pack of 950 CCA battery's that were so dead they wouldn't even light the dash up. This unit right here will bust em off every time. And its good for way more than one jump. I keep it plugged in to my cigarette lighter port in my truck so it's always with me. I work at a Peterbilt dealer ship so I deal with dead batteries on a daily basis. I've yet to find a truck it would not crank. My advice, go ahead and spend the money. This is the last jump box you'll ever need.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!
I already own two of the gb155 that I bought two keep in my personal trucks. I'm a mechanic for a fleet of trucks and equipment. They work so well that nobody even bothers with jumper cables anymore so I purchased the gb250 for the shop. Very impressed! Nice case and it came with the vehicle AND 110v charger, unlike my gb155. These have become an invaluable tool for our fleet as they get used at least twice a week.
1.0 out of 5 stars Beware this is a big scam
I bough this cuz I boost cars all the time and I want something secure and reliable cuz I’m on the move all the time and let me tell you this , a 300 dollar booster would do better job then this thing first of all you have to wait 60 seconds to just use it and then once you able to use it the power that it gives it like a cheap booster there’s no way this thing would work or some big trucks with a totally dead battery , I tried it on two different cars with a fully charged booster and barely start the cars and then on the third try I try to start a dead battery on a 2002 vw Passat and guess what , it couldn’t even start the car at all like a 1000 dollars device with so many features couldn’t even start 3 cars with one charging then this thing it’s useless and I mean useless bro don’t even waste your money with this thing get a 300 dollars booster from auto zone it’s gonna work way better then this thing plus it’s really pricey I mean the only explanation I have for this issue it’s that I got q bad unit so I contact customer service and they can return my money but they cannot replace my unit so how would I know if I just got a bad unit or if this thing it’s really cheap
