5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes great! High praise from a stevia & Equal hater
I have a strong hate for almost all diet drinks because most have a very strong fake taste & very unpleasant aftertaste to me. However, as a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic, I had to find ways to cut down on sugary drinks. My least favorite sugar replacement so far has been stevia but it seems to be everywhere lately. The only "diet" drink I've really liked were the original Bai drinks which used erythritol as a sugar substitute...unfortunately they changed their formula recently to only use stevia & monk fruit & I can't stand it anymore. :( I was almost afraid to try this product because it has stevia in it, but since it has a mix of so many other sugar alternatives & had a lot of good reviews, I hoped for the best. And....it tastes GREAT!!! My favorite way to use it is when I make cold brew iced herbal teas. It has absolutely no aftertaste to me...tastes almost exactly like sugar. For those of you out there who like sweet things & have hated the taste of most sugar substitutes out there, I highly recommend that you give this one a try.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good taste for zero calories
I bought this to use in my protein ice cream. It adds the right amount of sweetness without adding calories. It tastes much better than stevia in the raw, which tastes weird. I recommend this to anyone looking for a zero calorie sweetener and substitute for sugar.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good sugar replacemet
I use this for baking, sweetening my iced tea, koolaid, lemonade, etc. Only reason it's not five stars is all the "In the Raw" sweeteners have Dextrose in addition to the named sweetener, and Dextrose is sugar
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Sweetener
This is my favorite sweetener blend and I much prefer it over single ingredient sweeteners because this combination minimizes the drawbacks of each sweetener. It really does taste pretty close and I use it for baking, sweetening drinks and sweetening plain yogurt. I like that there's no gross stevia aftertaste and the cooling effect of erythritol is lessened. It does need time to dissolve if not using heat. I usually just use my electric kettle to heat enough water to dissolve it and then let it cool and mix with the rest of the ingredients. I have purchased this blend multiple times and am glad Bolo carries it because it's no longer in stores near me. I'm also a fan of other IN THE RAW products but this is the best match for my health goals.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! No aftertaste :)
I have been looking for a sugar alternative that isn’t randomly cooling with a nasty aftertaste and this is that replacement. It is so good and tastes so normal in my morning coffee. 10/10 would recommend. I don’t write reviews but this is worth it!
5.0 out of 5 stars By far the best general use sugar alternative
I have been cursed with having to use alternative sweeteners for over two decades. Through the years I have discovered some were better than others, but more importantly it seemed that whether they did the trick or not was dependent on what you were using it for and what food products it was being combined with. And, as anyone put in this position knows, how well they worked on the surface always had to be put in perspective of how negative that particular sweetener’s impact was on taste or appearance when eating it. With everything from baked goods not browning to feeling like someone threw dry ice in your mouth to weirdo textures to some raising your blood sugar anyway, the challenge to enjoy foods requiring added sweetness without using actual sugar is real. This is not even taking into account the aggravation of figuring out amounts for sweeteners that are not a 1:1 ratio to sugar. The end result was having a pantry with 10+ different alternative sweeteners and not being actually satisfied with any. Like most cooks using alternative sweeteners I ended up coming up with various combinations to use, but man, what a pain in the rump. Plus, since they aren’t general use, having to throw out these limited use, highly expensive sweeteners that have expired or gotten rock hard after opening fit the definition of crying shame.Well from what I have experienced so far I FINALLY seem to have found a 1:1 combination that has worked for almost all my baking needs. It has been so nice to get lightly browned quick breads and cookies with a crunch to them. I have used it for making jams and jellies, the initial taste testing is perfect and I have great hopes for the shelf life. I will not be replacing all the other alternative sweeteners as they are used or expire. Hallelujah!Prefect? Of course not. It is still obnoxiously expensive. Spending $9 on enough sweetener to make one batch of jam is frustrating when using the same amount of sugar costs less than a dollar. However, I guess that is just one of those “it is what it is” things that I have to live with if I want to enjoy eating jam I made myself.
3.0 out of 5 stars Has an unpleasant aftertaste for me
People taste things differently. For me, this has an unpleasant aftertaste. It may be the monkfruit. I do better with allulose. I did like the ease of use, but I wll not buy this again.
