5.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy and convenient
We purchased this to use as a side table next to the bed after surgery. It was easy to put together and very sturdy. It also has doubled as a sort of tv tray for eating dinner- an added bonus. Very easy to adjust the height. Glad we got it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome rolling tray for wide variety of projects and hobbies
I use this for all sorts of hobbies, from laptop to electronics to watching TV with snacks and drinks at hand. This rolling cart really impressed me with the quality of construction - strong welds of the steel components and substantial bolts with washers make this very sturdy. The 2 forward casters lock in place, and the "table" surface itself seems very durable so far, like a commercial cutting board. Also appreciate the inward angle of the upright post, clears my knees pretty well. The height adjustment friction knob secures the top well - I can lean on it pretty heavily and no movement. This cart is a definite must-have.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice typing table, and top sits flat
Just got this today, and assembled with no problem. Will update if problems arise, but I wanted to write this to correct some of the mis-statements in other reviews which almost caused me not to buy it. It looks to me like the most common problem people were having had to do with inexperience in mechanical assembly. I am an experienced amateur woodworker and mechanical tinkerer, but I believe that anyone who takes the time can assemble this correctly and without too much difficulty. The most commonly reported complaint among the 1- and 2- star ratings was that the typing surface did not sit level, but at a slant. In fact, the cart is made so that the surface can be level or tilted. It simply depends on which way you attach the square channel rod to the top surface. The riser is designed so it comes up from the base at an angle, like a raked mast on an old sailboat. If you carefully follow the illustrated instructions, which show the rake angle, the surface will sit flat, with the curved edge facing you as you type. If you prefer the surface to be tilted, and the curved edge still facing you, just remove the four screws holding the square channel rod to the typing surface, and rotate it 180 degrees before reattaching. (To go from flat to tilted, you can also just loosen the thumb screw on the side of the square channel riser, rotate the typing surface 180 degrees, and reinsert. This does not require removing and replacing any of the screws. But this way, the curved edge will end up in the back of the typing surface, facing away from you.)Assembly took me just 20 minutes, working carefully from the labeled sequential diagrams. I used the supplied wrench for the Allen head screws and the little, Erector-set style end wrench, to see if a person without any other tools could assemble it this way. Later, I tightened the 4 screws that hold the riser to the base with a proper 11 mm end wrench. This appeared to be the point of greatest stress and I wanted to make sure it was tight. The hex nuts supplied are the expensive, self-locking kind with nylon wedge inside. These are designed to stay tight even when vibration occurs. Mine took two more full turns when I applied the proper end wrench. It's hard to say if that makes it stronger, or if the tightening you can achieve with the little, supplied wrench would have been enough. (By the way, novices please notice that the hex nuts are tapered on one side. Be sure to put the wider, flatter side of the nut against the surface it is tightening to.)I only give 4 stars because the plasticized edging material on the typing surface was damaged. It was significantly puckered at one point, enough to affect the appearance. I emailed Seville products about it, and got an almost immediate response. They asked for a picture of the damage and a copy of the receipt. I emailed that back to them, and got a promise that a replacement top would be sent out right away. That is good customer service, but it would have been better if the item had been inspected at the factory. It may be that this item is offered at such a low price, because the seller knows there are a lot of damaged parts. However, the basic design and materials are certainly worth every dollar. The item is manufactured in Taiwan, where labor costs are higher than on the mainland, and there is a longer history of modern manufacturing. The second most common problem I saw mentioned in other reviews is that the casters came loose. This seems to have been addressed by the manufacturer, as in the version I got, the casters are attached to bolts which screw into a retaining sleeve in the base. The casters, however, are pretty flimsy plastic. I could see them eventually breaking under any serious use, like wheeling from room to room, especially over stone or rough surfaces. In our application they just sit on a rug and wheel a few feet from the desk to the wall and back. If anything is to break, I would expect it to be the casters. As the bottom surface is flat, it would be easy to simply replace them with a stick on rubber pad, in case the replacement part is unavailable down the road. The other weak item is the working surface itself. Like all cheap furniture, this is particle board with a thin laminate finish. If mine ever goes bad, I would replace it with a nice piece of ash or oak. The metal frame seems like it would last a long time. All in all it is a nice little typing table for the very low price it is offered at. I will update if any structural or other problems develop.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Desk for Kids
My son is using this as his desk as I thought it was a stand up desk and it was not- lol- but he loves it so much I am keeping it. My stand up desk is on its way!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great!
The cart is VERY nice! It was easy to put together and easy to move and lift up and down. My husband uses it for work and he loves it. The wheel movement is smooth and it takes up very little space. It also looks nice! We would highly recommend it!
5.0 out of 5 stars i like it
Adjustable, sturdy, easy assembly, and better quality than I expected. I would not hesitate to purchase again if I needed another. The top is a nice size,
5.0 out of 5 stars This thing is the BEST!
Makes it so much more comfortable and convenient to work from my couch! No more weird contorting body angles and hot laptop sitting on my legs. It's so easy to adjust height and angle, and I love having the side table a little lower so it's less likely my drink will have a chance of accidentally spilling on my laptop
3.0 out of 5 stars It’s good.
It’s good and does the job. I’m glad I got this before I got my desk. but it has been retired only after a few months. It wasn’t hard to put together but it took some work. It’s easy to move around and fits anywhere. But what I will say is do not lean or put any pressure on this thing. I lean on it and one of the screws fell out of it lol. The wood top is actually nice and it thick to mount things to it. I mount my microphone arm to this and was amazed it could hold the weight. Perfect for laptops, keyboards, mice and other light weight devices. I wouldn’t call this a long term solution
DELIVERD WHEN YOU SAID IT WOULD - THE TABLE EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED
THANK YOU - VERY SATISFIED
Mesa para PC Muy recomendable.
La mesa es muy sólida, no peligra tu equipo. La superficie es de cristal, por lo que no hay mucho calentamiento. Y, además, tiene un diseño muy estético. Muy buena calidad.
Excellent quality and the right height!
I have been looking for an adjustable laptop table to use if sitting on the couch and could not find one with a minimum height that was low enough. Finally, this one really is perfect for the couch but also perfect for use with a chair. The table is very sturdy, excellent quality, very easy and quick to put together, the walnut top color is very rich and it is certainly wide enough to work on. A really great find at a great price.
Stable fabulous portable desk
Very happy with the quality of this table. Glass top and white painted metal frame. The whole structure is very stable.
