This is the third different B&O speaker I've bought. They're all exceptional in their own way. This Explore is amazingly clear. Not much bass, but everything else. And great battery life.It's weatherproof. Has the looks you'd expect from B&O. Very portable. Great connectivity.I also have the Beoplay A1 (1st generation. Very important). The A1 does have the bass, but not the battery life. And the connectivity of the A1 is tricky. But I prefer the A1 sound. I've owned several.I really like the B&O app, also.Check out B&O's headphones. They have the best sound of all.

I typically goes to Bose speakers as my first choice but this was on sale and bought it for my husband to take out disc golfing. The sounds is great! Very loud and clear. Base is not like the Bose speakers which was fine b because we weren’t looking for a lot of base. We took the speaker out with us kayaking yesterday and did amazing on the river. I will buy a second one when these go on sale again👍🏼 very well made and looks nice too! Mostly I love the size of the speaker small enough to fit in my purse or clip to the kayak or clip to my husbands disc golf bag. The speaker has very high quality sound! *****

This speaker is amazing. I got it on sale. The price for this speaker I feel is worth every penny. The speaker does have weight to it. Not too heavy but because it is made out of quality metal it adds weight compared to cheap plastic ones. However that weight provides better sound since there is no rattling like plastic speakers. It’s a great size and looks amazing wherever you put it. It performs great in small rooms but in large rooms if you put it towards the center of the room it really fills the room. The sound is incredible for something so small. The quality of the sound doesn’t change as you turn it even all the way up. I was really impressed at what a clean sound it has. I do move it from room to room and bought it primarily for around the house but have also used it outside and taken it with me. Because it’s metal and looks so good and I want to keep it that way when putting it in a bag I put it in a small case type bag. However I haven’t been overly careful sign it around the house and even dropped it and nothing happened to it. The strap is well made also and really convenient and looks good because it’s well made as well. I had high expectations because the company makes great products but it even surpassed those expectations. I get endless compliments about it and have had friends order one right after seeing and hearing it and they were surprised at the price not being much higher. You will not regret buying this speaker.

B&O makes posh high end audio gear….gear which showcases the most avant-garde design which would be at home in any modern art museum (MOMA indeed has some of the past B&O iconic products in their exhibits). Normally their gear is priced out of the range of normal-average-hard-working folk ($10000 speakers for example), but with this product, you can get to experience a slice of the life of the upper 0.1%!In all seriousness, this is a regular tiny Bluetooth speaker which has a price at least 5X more than your average tiny Bluetooth speaker. So what do you get for that premium? First, the whole shell is made of metal. It feels cool to the touch. It has hard “Type II anodization” on the aluminum shell which will help resist scratches, and should take the hard knocks while it’s hanging off your backpack using the supplied carabiner clip. The speaker is IPX67 meaning it’s water and dust resistant. You can immerse the whole thing into water for a very short period even.Soundwise, this is a tiny speaker so don’t expect much in terms of volume and thump. It will start to distort if you try to turn it up too high (it's not going to fill a large room in your house). It sounds smooth and the tonality is slightly warm (you hear less of the treble and more of the midrange). Deep bass is nonexistent, but there’s just enough of upper bass tones that you can follow the rhythm of the beat. Measurements on other review sites show that it doesn’t reproduce any content below 100Hz. Basically, it doesn’t reinvent any laws of acoustics and still sounds like a small speaker. But the overall sound quality is clean and the tonality is pleasant. it’s a portable speaker that you can carry with you anywhere, so you can have some music while boating, at the beach, hiking, camping etc. It just works!Battery life is good, at lower and moderate volumes, it easily lasts 10+ hours. Controls are simple: power, volume, play/pause/skip forward backwards. It isn’t necessary to install the app but the app is useful because it gives you the exact battery percentage, turn-off the auto-standby feature if you don’t want it, and has some presets to select a different sound signature or alternatively you can fine tune the strength of the treble/midrange/bass precisely by moving around a slider into four quadrants on the screen. I think it sounds fine with the default “optimized” preset. Also as a bonus, you can plug this into your computer with the USB and used it like a wired USB speaker. You can pair two Bluetooth devices to it, which is the norm nowadays.So is it worth it? By the way, I bought this at a 45% discount (check Bolo price history for this product) and even though it’s still not inexpensive, I feel it is good value. Even if it had cost more, I would not have been disappointed. I don’t mind paying more for something that feels like it’s going to last, and with B&O, you get some cutting edge design with great sound engineering.This is a 5 star product, but minus 1 star just because I would have liked to have a microphone so that it acts as speakerphone. Also, because of the bluetooth profile, your device won't show the battery percentage on the phone itself, you have to view the percentage in the app. And the sound is good but it doesn't manage to break any laws of physics (not blaming the speaker but I had hoped that it would really stand out among other small speakers of this size with the bag of tricks that B&O geniuses have up their sleeves. The result is merely very good rather than exceptional). So result is 4 out of 5

I bought this to take into my backyard in the afternoons and evenings when I want to relax. It doesn't have any bass to speak of, but it does have richly textured lower midtones (which I'd say are more important), and sparkling treble notes. My wife also loves it. If I was hosting barbecues, and inviting company over, it would not be nearly big enough. For parties I'd get the larger model B&O portable. But I just put this little thing on the patio table with the wine and snacks, and its perfect for myself and my wife. Battery life seems to be very good. And it just so easy to carry with you and play where ever you want it.
Excellent sound by a Solid Built BT speaker
My first ever Product by B&O.Very satisfied until now (several Days of test).Very solidly Built.I like the simple but esthetically Nice industrial design. Well done B&O!Perfect for my office as I cannot Play loud nor boom boom bass anyway.Very natural sound. Trebles never aggressive. The midrange is précise and very natural!!!Bass is present and punchy but not strong. For reproducing jazz music, voices and instruments this speaker suits the best.For bass heavy sound fans, go with other brands like Bose.Cheers.
Buena calidad y sonido nitido limpio y agradable
The media could not be loaded. Es mi primera bocina beosond que tengo. estaba indeciso en comprarla porque mire en youtube algunos comentarios negativos pero la bocina me gustaba y pues la compre el producto llego antes de tiempo. Y cuando lo abri wow! La calidad es premium es de metal porque esta uno acostumbrado a ver bocinas solo de plastico esta muy bonita. Al prenderla si note como que el sonido esta muy apagado pero igual dije voy a calarla unos dias descargue la app y la empese a ecualisar y wow el sonido lo acomodas a tu preferencia y Si la verdad se escucha muy limpio y claro. y tambien dicen que no tiene bajos pero eso es mentira en la ecualisacion trae para ponerle bajos el detalle esta que si la traes en la mano no se sienten los bajos pero si la pones en el piso y en una esquina de tu habitacion ho en una mesa que este pegada ala pared se pueden sentir los bajos hay vecez que asta se siente la vibracion en la pared cuando la pones en el piso asi que es otro punto bueno. el volumen si es alto tambien yo casi no la trabajo a volumen alto porque no me gusta forzarla para mi es mejor a volumen 60% que es un buen volumen. para musica acustica se escuchan muy bien los instrumentos. asta ahi va bien en cuestion de bateria la verdad dice que son 27hrs pero alomejor y si escuchandola a unos 25%de volumen cuando estas en la noche descansando a ese volumen se escucha bien y asi si te va a durar mucho. y a volumen 60% yo creo que si dura dependiendo el tipo de musica unas 8 a 9hrs que la verdad no me afecta porque yo solo la uso un rato cuando llego del trabajo y tambien otro punto importante es que para cargarla de la bateria yo intente con varios cargadores de celulares y la verdad tarda un buen casi 7hrs para cargarse. y en ese momento pense en regresarla porque se me hacia demasiado tiempo porque en la descripsion dice que 2hrs y media. Entonces le cale a cargarla con una lampara de escritorio que trae cargador esa carga muy lento porque mi celular lo carga lento pero wow! Cual fue mi sorpresa que la bocina si la cargo muy rapido y pues fue un punto bueno para hablar bien de esta maravillosa bocina espero y les sirva esta reseña para que se animen a comprarla otra cosa que yo espere a que estuviera en oferta porque el presio si es un poco caro pero la verdad vale cada centavo y otra cosa mas que para exteriores se ecucha muy bien solo que en exteriores casi no se escucha el bajo es mas medios y agudos pero como dije es un sonido limpio y claro

Oozes quality in materials design and sound
Love this speaker. The colour and finish on my green one exude quality. It’s just wonderfully designed and feels reassuringly heavy for such a small unit. The sound quality is great when tailored using the graphic equaliser in the app. Many reviews say it doesn’t have the best bass. If you want something to over amplify and thud out overpowering bass that shakes your windows buy something else. This is high fidelity where treble, mids and bass are all very nicely and proportionately presented into a very pleasing pure sound. Bass enjoyably deep and tuneful.To get the best sound quality you have to be aware that positioning has a big effect. If it’s on a shelf, windowsill, high/low position, hanging or in an alcove the sound profile changes considerably. That’s where the app comes in. Find the location you want to place it, then go to the app and use the graphic equaliser to perfect the sound to your preference.Set up and the using the app are simple as they possibly could be. The interface is very slick and intuitive.If I had to think of a negative, it could perhaps have next/previous track controls on the unit. Other than that I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone who wants a beautiful, classy, easily portable Bluetooth speaker with Hifi sound quality rather than a bass-swamped party speaker.
Absolute beast of a speaker
The media could not be loaded. This little thing is loud, clear sound, easy to set up, looks really cool, the battery is fantastic, and when you get the companion app it lets you customise the sound profile. Most of the reviews that say the bass isn’t as good as Bose probably haven’t used the app. I tried it with a fairly large range of genres and everything sounds good. The metal body feels robust and well built. The only thing it struggles with, which is common for a speaker this size.. is the really low “wobble-bass” in certain electronic genres, but the sound doesn’t crack at all even then. If you’ve got the money to spend, this has over 2x the battery life of other speakers at the same price point. It’s also rated at a max output of 60 watts (loud. Very loud), while most others in this range deliver 30 watts. If you really hate your neighbours, get two and stereo pair them together on the app. Two thumbs up!
