I really like the quality of light produced by the soft box. It works fine on Amaran 100d lights with Bowens mount. Although the instructions are not particularly detailed, it’s not that difficult to figure out how to put it together. I just took my time, one rod at a time and it all went together just fine. Def start with the red ones, then alternate rods, similar to tightening lug nits on a car wheel, take your time, it goes together fine. I am well pleased with this light.

While it's pretty big, it certainly softens the light just the way you need. Using the accompanying grid really solidifies where you truly need the light to be. Many have said that assembling and disassembling is a hassle and takes a long time, but I find that not to be the case. It's truly a relatively simple process.

I'm not a professional videographer, but I like to produce quality amateur YouTube videos with good lighting. Lighting really makes all the difference in video quality, and a friend recommended this softbox with cargo net so I could get nice, soft, yet directed lighting.When I purchased, I was under the impression that it was a collapsible softbox (like an umbrella), but I was initially disappointed to find that it takes a good 15 minutes to put together, and just as long to disassemble. This makes it NOT portable.Fortunately, I tend to work in one location, so portability isn't a concern for me. Neither is the need to break down and reassemble. For what I needed it for -- it's perfect. I can have a nice, incredibly BRIGHT, warm light directed at me without any spill lighting my dim and cool-lit background.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality, even lighting and easy to assemble
After reading multiple reviews saying that the rods were broken or it hurt their fingers struggling with the assembly I passed on this softbox a couple of times before finally pulling the trigger on it. After looking at the directions, lining up the red holes and bending the rod about 3 inches from the end and pushing the metal tip into the holes, then the holes with the arrows, then the final holes, it was together in less than 2 minutes. 30 seconds to make the final close on the velcro closures, 1 minute to install the light baffles, then 1 minute to attach the honeycomb. Less than 5 minutes start to finish. Attaching the light to the bowens mount was kind of tricky until I placed the dome on the ground, then it snapped right in. Without it on the ground there wasn't a good way to get leverage on the flexible part of the dome, so save yourself some time and just install the light first on the ground, then install it on the stand. If you're hesitating because of the reviews that said it was too difficult, took too much time or that the rods break, rest assured it is pretty dang simple. It came with 2 extra rods just in case, but I don't think I'll ever need them, but nice to have anyway. I don't know if I'd want to break it down all the time if you plan to travel with it, but if it is more stationary this is one heck of a product. Also, the light is very even and overall this functions as it should and is a decent value. Had a 48" softbox before and it was a bit big and was kind of a pain, and this one hits a sweet spot of producing a really soft light in a smaller package. Very pleased.

Frágil
A tensão criada nas hastes é maior que elas podem suportar. A montagem é muito ruim. Tem experiência de mais de 30 anos com luz de flash e nunca vi uma montagem tão frágil. Antes de usar, tive de comprar novas hastes, pois quebram-se com facilidade.
