5.0 out of 5 stars Met all my expectations
Pros:1) Nice back lit keys (my first objective).2) Space saving (my second objective). Spacing is ~6% smaller than a standard keyboard.3) Soft touch, short stroke keys; yes they are quiet, quiet but not silent.Cons:1) Instuction manual is nearly useless; all it provides are dimensions on an illustration, all kinds of the usual bone head safety instructions in at least six languages and finally a ROHS compliance chart. There are no instructions on special features such as defining the upper left trio of lights (only two are used). Blissfully this product is plug and play and if you have experience with any keyboard, special instructions are not necessary. In General:Unique observations are that the cord plugs into any PC USB port (this was promised)The backlight intensity is adjustable, just use the Fn+F8 which gives you bright with three steps to dark then one step back to max brightness.Perhaps the reason the third light is not funtional is there are no number pad features that need a Numbers Lock. This is a plus for PC restart because there is no need to reset the BIOS. Mini keyboards that use a Numbers Lock may complicate the logon if the Password uses a letter where the numbers pad would shares the same keys. Some customers complained about discoration, oiliness, and sticking; mine was delivered even colored and clean as would be expected of any new keyboard.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nicely made, feels substantial
It is exactly as described. Nice feel on the keys, compact size, light quality is excellent, with little to no leakage around the keys. The keyboard has a more substantial feel and weight than I expected, which was a good thing - heavy enough to stay in place and not feel cheap, but compact and light enough to easily move or stow.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love the size, quietness, and light-up keys!
Thanks to Covid, I needed to work from home. After a couple months, I was used to using a laptop, but I needed a more ergonomic setup. My workplace sent a monitor and keyboard, but the keyboard was huge, which was hard to get used to typing on, and it didn’t fit well on my keyboard tray. It also made a loud clattering noise, which quickly became unbearable, so I jumped online and bought this one. It filled all my needs. It’s smaller, so it’s easier for me to switch between it and my laptop, and it fits nicely on my keyboard tray. The chiclet style keys are much quieter than the hollow plastic keys on the keyboard from from my employer. The light up keys are a bonus! They are just the right level of bright for me and are great when the sun starts going down, but I’m not quite ready to turn on my light, yet.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good keyboard with a nice backlight.
Pros:- Quiet & reasonably light key presses, though not quite as light or shallow as a good laptop keyboard.- Nice & compact size without the number pad, and fairly low profile (not quite as thin as an Apple Magic keyboard, but it's not high enough to need a wrist rest.- 4 soft rubber feet that keep the keyboard absolutely glued to the desk. The back two feet also flip out to slightly raise the rear if you prefer a slight angle.- Wired USB connection with no batteries to mess with or recharge.- Great price.- Backlit keyboard with 3 intensities plus off, selectable by pressing Function+F8.- The backlight stays on and never times out.- The caps lock & scroll lock LEDs are a nice & subtle green color.Cons:- The key presses aren't quite as nice, shallow, or light as the scissor mechanisms on a laptop keyboard, but it's close. The keystrokes are slightly longer, slightly squishy, and slightly firmer in comparison because of the membrane underneath. It's not bad, though everyone has different tastes for keyboard feel.Suggestion:- If you like a good scissor keypress, you can try the Periboard-429 model. It's virtually identical, but beware that the backlight implementation has some issues.
5.0 out of 5 stars Light, compact, high quality keyboard
I bought this to carry with me in my backpack. At a very reasonable price, it does exactly what I need it to. Durable, light, compact, key travel and feel is good quality for a compact keyboard.
3.0 out of 5 stars Real neat, but the numbers at very ends do not light up even with all the others. Small issue.
Real neat. Beautiful pro looking small keyboad. Not flimsy. You will love the white lighted brightness settings. Goes on and goes off when supposed to. But the numbers at very ends do not light up quite as bright evenly with all the others. Small issue. The bottom has No area to hold the keyboard. You end up pressing the keys down. Top does have some space. Multimedia keys. The top and bottom can have a not so tight fit when clamped together from factory. Small issue.Unit works great. The numbers will wear down like all others eventually. Had this a month. No one uses the missing extra numbers keypad. Forget about it. Just some foreign symbols aren't accessable.
5.0 out of 5 stars More compact than 15” hp laptop keyboard
1st week impressions…Finger key reach similar to midsize laptop keyboard. Recommend using with gel wrist pad.PROS: Quality feel, long usb-a cable, compact without being cramped, quiet, backlit keys.CONS: Windows key and left function key are swapped (see picture). I have to re-train my brain as I use keyboard shortcuts often.*Home, page up/dn, and end keys are integrated with arrow keys (would prefer them separate, but not huge issue… it’s supposed to be compact and it delivers!)Would definitely buy again!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great small size keyboard
Well made, quality feel to the keys. Fits the keyboard drawer of my desk and leaves room for the mouse. Wanted a USB keyboard so I can dual boot, wireless keyboards don't always work before booting into operating system. Lighting is great and handy as well. Very satisfied with this purchase.
Works on my M1 Macbook Air
It worked out of the box on my M1 Macbook Air when I connected it through a hub. This keyboard's backlight is lit all the time except when the laptop is asleep or off.Not sure if it can be configured through MacOS settings but it doesn't bother me and I'm happy with this keyboard so far. It's very compact and still has important functions like HOME, END, PAGE UP, and PAGE DOWN. The keyboard layout is perfect. It doesn't have those annoying characters. The backlight is well lit and you won't have problems typing at night.Don't expect a mechanical feel when you type though. But the keys are not noisy which is perfect for offices and when you work at night.Overall, I'm very happy with this keyboard. No problems at all. Especially useful when you have limited desk space.
