5.0 out of 5 stars My pups go crazy for this!!!
I didn't think they would have this reaction, but it's the most excited they have been about a toy Ever. They whine bc they get so wound up trying to figure out where it's going to go. They do want to always tear off the thin fabric wrap as others have said in the reviews. I am not sure yet what to do about that, other than maybe tie a sock around it next? As long as they can't chew on the button, you should be good. lolThe slow mode seems to be more fun for them than the faster vibration. I ordered one for my neighbor and my mom. :-) Very, very cool product. They won't stop playing with it until I put it away. And it came with treats!
5.0 out of 5 stars Coco Resistant Interactive Ball
Let me start by saying that I have no idea who thought that it was a good idea to mix the Diva of a Pomeranian with the drive of a Husky to create a Pomsky. That being said, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do for my Pomsky rescue, Coco.Finding toys that can withstand the Apex Predator/Ball Of Floof, I find myself having to get creative. So if you also have a floofy apex predator, here’s my recommendation:In looking for an interactive ball for Cuj…. errrr, I mean Coco, I knew I wanted a rechargeable ball. I also knew that I needed to find a cover for the ball that was as close to NASA quality shred proof as possible.I realize that this review already reads like a novel, but let me explain why these two products work so well together….*The Petdroid Ball does have a cover that they sell with it, but my girl thought it was a tissue and shredded it as such immediately.*The Hyper Pet Monster Pal Replacement Toy Cover sells an interactive ball with it. However, their ball is battery operated, and I immediately visualized Cuj… errr, Coco ripping the ball open and using the battery as a snack. However, the “The Petdroid Ball” fits perfectly inside of the “The Hyper Pet Monster Pal Replacement Toy Cover”.She has been doing her best to add her interactive ball/cover to the countless other toys that she has destroyed, but hides as her personal “souvenirs”. It has been about a month now and both are still challenging her, while most other “stuffies” are goners within an hour.SO!!! If you also have a predat… errrrr, I mean playful pooch like mine, I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying the “Hyper Pet Monster Pal Replacement Toy Cover” as a cover for the“Petdroid Interactive Dog Ball”.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very Interactive
What I liked most about this ball toy: it keeps my dog busy for a long time period of time. Like all toys like this, it will roll under the couch or other furniture and get stuck. It's durable so far and the charge seems to last if you don't have it on crazy mode. What I don't like: the cover that encloses the ball. It Velcro's together but the little tab ripped right away as that is what my dog uses to carry it around. You have to use this cover when the ball is in crazy mode because it is super loud on hard floors. And it is advised not to use the crazy mode all the time, understandable as it will shorten the life span of the ball. And if you have a chewer, the cover will not last long and I advise supervision as the cover could be a choke hazard.
3.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy for a short period of time
I was really excited about getting this toy for my dog. My dog is one that constanly love to play fetch and this was the perfect toy for about two weeks before it stoped working completely. The battery would last about a day then it would need to get plugged in but after being dropped from the couch a few times the ball just stopped working. I would have thought that a dog toy would have had a little more durability and I was disappointed that it stopped working after falling off the couch but if your dog is not to rough with the toy it may last longer.
2.0 out of 5 stars Not the Fetch-Fest I Hoped For
I had high hopes for the PetDroid Interactive Dog Ball, especially with the newly upgraded features and promises of durable, motion-activated fun. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations for my furry friend. Here’s why I’m giving it 2 stars.Promising Features, Lackluster ResultsThe idea behind this toy is fantastic: a durable, motion-activated ball that would entertain my dog without much effort on my part. The ball is supposed to roll around on its own, keeping my dog engaged and active. However, in practice, it just didn’t capture my dog’s interest.DurabilityI will give credit where it’s due: the ball is well-made and seems durable. It can withstand some rough handling, which is great for more aggressive chewers. Unfortunately, durability doesn’t mean much if your dog won’t play with it in the first place.Motion ActivationThe motion activation feature is hit or miss. While the ball does move around as advertised, it didn’t seem to move in a way that intrigued my dog. He gave it a sniff, watched it for a minute, and then walked away, unimpressed. I tried multiple times to get him interested, but he simply wasn’t having it.Lack of EngagementThe biggest issue is that the ball just didn’t engage my dog at all. It might be more suitable for a different personality type or breed, but for my pooch, it was a total flop. He’s usually quite playful and curious, so I was surprised by his lack of interest.Final ThoughtsOverall, the PetDroid Interactive Dog Ball might work for some dogs, but it was a miss for mine. If your dog is easily entertained by automated toys, it might be worth a try. However, based on my experience, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend it.Pros:Durable constructionMotion-activated as advertisedCons:Did not engage my dogMotion activation wasn’t intriguing enoughMight be more suitable for specific dog types or personalitiesIf you decide to give it a shot, just be prepared for the possibility that your dog might not find it as entertaining as you hope. For us, it’s back to the drawing board for a more engaging toy.
Cover gets dirty easily
My dog loves this. However it comes with a cover to muffle the noise it makes. The cover closing is a bit difficult to open and close as it is a very thin strip of Velcro. However my dog absolutely loves the ball.
Bueno
A mi perrito le gustó mucho
Very good toy
I got 25kg border collie and he loves it. Both settings are good for play , although fastest is his favourite. Very impressed with durability of toy. He loves chewing toys but with this I think he realised he can just play. Best on hard floors of course, but smooth carpet is not issue. It does create loads of bangs against furniture but we don't mind as long as he enjoys it. Our boy got short attention span so last like 20 min. Battery is long lasting. Can't advise enough
What a riot!
The media could not be loaded. Ball came fully/or close to it charged, Puppy went spastic, it was so funny to watch her. The tennis ball cover was the only way my toy poodle could carry the ball as the ball is larger than I thought. LOL. But for us as a family we thought the ball was value for money. Charges on the computer, so it is easy no batteries or time consuming disassembly to get it charged. The charge is pretty quick. We are very happy with this item. The dog loves it! Thank you.
Keeping dog engaged!
Excellent interactive toy for our toy poodle! Gets her chasing the ball and we have to hide it in a cupboard when we need to stop her from playing. Looking to buy another one for our friend’s dog!
