5.0 out of 5 stars An absolutely fantastic keyboard for the money
I have the nicer, hot-swappable RGB K10 model for home, and I wanted something similar for work but without all the bells and whistles. The Gateron Pro Brown switches are smooth and solid without being too loud. Keycaps have are textured but not rough (K10 keycaps are super smooth; I almost prefer this). The white backlight is nice, for dimmer work areas without adding RGB cost, and I never actually move my keyboard around, so unless you actually intend the keyboard to be mobile, the C series (which is wired only; USB-C) is perfectly fine and saves you some $$. Overall, while there are plenty of good mechanical keyboards, including some nicer Keychrons, I'm not sure there's a better choice for a basic, high-quality fullsize.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value - give it time to break in
***Update*** After 3 months of use, the new large keys with stabilizers are getting less squeaky. Not sure if it's the additional grease or it just needed to break in, but it is getting close to matching my older keyboard in sound and feel.I bought one of these in 2021 for my office at work. I love it, great value for the money, a joy to type on. I can type much faster on it than the e-waste $12 keyboard and mouse set they gave me.I decided to replace an aging Razor keyboard at home with the same model. Typing is great, but the spacebar has developed a very pronounced squeak. Very annoying. I tried a little white lithium grease on the plastic stabilizers, but it didn't help.I also have a K2 purchased in December 2020. It's held up very well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Keyboard for the price with Gateron Red Switches
I use a Ducky One2 with Cherry MX Red switches for my home computer setup and wanted to get a mechanical keyboard for my job. I didn't want to spend the $100+ on another Ducky. After much research I decided to take the gamble on this Keychron C2 with Gateron Red switches. It was significantly cheaper than the Ducky One2 (about sixty bucks for this item) and so far I am very pleased. The Gateron Red is similar to the Cherry MX Red, with subtle differences. I can't say if I prefer one over the other. Both feel great. The build quality is very good. The overall feel when typing is awesome. The fact that it also comes with lighting for the price is a plus (although I don't care for it too much).I would highly recommend this product at the price of sixty bucks. Once you go mechanical, it's next to impossible to go back. Will update this review in a few months to see how it has held up.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Bang for the Buck
Overall, my initial impression of the C2 is that it's a high quality keyboard for the price. I've been shopping keyboards for a while now and keep coming back to Keychron because of their design, variety of offerings, and large customer base. Being new to mechanical keyboards, the extra key travel and louder typing sound will take some time for me to get used to.Likes:- Quality build with solid construction- Stabilizers seem to work well, no noticeable wobble on the larger keys; I'm a mechanical keyboard newbie, so your experience may vary.- Backlit, with multiple effects, dimmer, and effects speed control- USB C to A adapter included- Packaging, gives a premium feel- Customization options (white or RGB LED, hot swap or soldered, wide range of keycaps and switches to choose from). I went with the white LED, brown switch, non-hot swap version.- Keyboard lights turn off when computer goes to sleep (most of the time).Worth Noting:- There are a few undocumented features. I found out about LED brightness (fn+F5/F6) and effects speed controls (fn + -/= left of Delete) via YouTube reviews, there are probably others.- Keyboard is louder and keystroke travel is longer than I expected; keep in mind this is my first mechanical keyboard.- My typing accuracy took a hit when switching from a standard low profile $20 Dell keyboard; probably just takes some getting used to.- Some of the keycap label decisions depart from the norm. * Directional, Home, End, PgUp, PgDn, Insert, & Delete labels are missing from numpad which makes for a cleaner look. * Backspace, Enter, and Return keycap labels are very similar (not a fan)Dislikes:- The black keycap labels are somewhat blurry and difficult to read in most lighting situations with the backlight off; to their credit, Keychron has explained this thoroughly on their site.- LED is too bright for me on lowest setting which seems to be around 50% or so; with 5 levels, a better choice would have been 20, 40, 60, 80, & 100%. Perhaps this is something Keychron could address with a firmware update someday . . . hint, hint!- Dedicated Cortona button (yuck)Bugs:- The keyboard I received occasionally remains partially lit when computer goes to sleep.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this keyboard
I love the way it feels and looks. I've bought a lot of keyboards and I've been using this one every day for work for a few days now. It's my favorite by a long shot.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best keyboard
Great keyboard! I was looking for something quiet but also aesthetically pleasing and this checks both boxes. The sound of the keys is like Beethoven's 9th to my nerd ears. Love the options for the lighting effects and the size of the board is still compact but large enough to fit all the keys for my fat @55 fingers. For the price, you can't go wrong with this one.10/10
5.0 out of 5 stars Works good with white backlight
Plugged it in on Linux and working wellHas a nice white LED back light that you can adjust brightness
Es mi primer tecaldo mecánico y me gustó mucho.
Es excelente, muchos efectos de luz, el tacto es muy bueno, tiene un peso adecuado que lo hantenerse en su lugar.incluye teclas intercambiables para windows y mac.
Very nice!
Very confortable, clicky . Recommended.
Sweet keyboard
Lovely feel. Looks good. Like the USB options.
Love love love this keyboard!
Absolutely excellent feel and quality. Can type extremely quickly on this keyboard with the red switches. 4* only because the black keys on a black background make it impossible to see properly. But very attractive with the backlight and so easy to use. I prefer the non-backlit keyboard that has a key to quickly lock the screen.
Good mechanical keyboard but would be god to have an orange ASWD and Arrows keypads!
Good enough for me
