5.0 out of 5 stars Best sourdough container
I love using these jars for my sourdough. They are perfect for when the dough gets a little too active. I've cracked mason jars and I didn't like putting the fabric on the top to let the dough breathe. These jars keep it closed to the air/pet hair/ kids etc. and still lets it expand as much as it wants to. Its also super easy to clean, there are no ridges or anything on the inside of the jar and it doesn't have a neck. Its easy to mix up the flour and water and easy to pour into a bowl to make the bread. I recommend these for anyone who likes making sourdough bread. Plus they are super solid, I've dropped mine a few times and not a single chip.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, functional and attractive!
Along with half the world - I have embarked on a sourdough journey (and love it!). I use these jars for my starter and discard. My "borrowed daughter" had them and used for the same purpose so I ordered the same because they just make sense. They're perfect with the gasket removed because the starter needs to be able to breath. My active starter stays out on the counter and I like that these jars are attractive enough to be out like that. Looks are great - but functionality is most important. Easy, full access to all surfaces - no lips or narrowed areas to manage when using and feeding my starter. They are super easy to wash for the same reason. Highly recommend WECK jars!
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect size and versatile for all my kitchen needs!!!
I love that this can be put in the freezer, as well as used for all manner of food preservation. Another big plus is that this is glass, so it’s food safe and clean!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Sourdough Starter
They’re more than large enough to account for rising in your starter and the lids don’t close too tight to allow for gas to escape pretty easily. The glass is thick and durable and my starter seems to be much happier and bubbly in these compared to a mason jar.It is my first time using these jars so the clips threw me for a loop lol i admittedly had to take a look at the picture from the order to see how they sat on the jars. They fit on with no complications after looking though :)
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality, great for a sourdough starter
I saw a jar like this in a sourdough video on YouTube and really liked the clean look. I searched all over to to find something cylindrical with a loose fitting glass lid and I'm pretty sure this is the exact jar the person was using. They're a little on the expensive side but I'm really happy with them. These are nice and sturdy, I'm super happy with the quality. I bought a sourdough starter kit but the jar was kind of thin and I wanted something that looked nicer. I'm cultivating my starters at room temperature so I took the seals off so gasses can escape. The seal pops back on, but admittedly I'm a little worried about losing the clips before I put it in the refrigerator.
5.0 out of 5 stars New favorite!
These jars are great for maintaining a sour dough starter. The straight sides and the way the lids fit is awesome. It’s a simple jar but it makes everything so easy. I remove the seals when feeding my starter and it stays covered while getting enough oxygen to ferment.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect smoothie cups
I love making smoothies and shakes and these cups are the perfect size for my husband and I since I always make more than what would fit in normal size cups. Tall, easy to clean, durable, what more could I ask for?
