I use untreated burlap for my beekeeping smoker. It's pretty expensive to buy it from a beekeeping supply, so this 8-pack is a good deal and will last me a long time. I am also experimenting this (my first) year with something to absorb moisture over the winter months. So I screened off the hole in the middle of the inner cover and turned it over so the slot was on the bottom side, making an upper entrance/exit in case the bottom gets blocked with snow or ice. Then I put an empty super box on top of that and put in one wadded up burlap sack to soak up any moisture coming up from the hive below. Then the outer cover over that with some popsicle sticks in between the top of the super and the outer cover for ventilation. We'll see how it works by next Spring, but I'm thinking the burlap will absorb the moisture and release it, instead of it collecting on the outer cover and dripping back down into the hive.

100% satisfied and wound up not needing all that I ordered. Its a great product for your garden. The only thing you will want to do is give them about a week in the sun to eliminate the oily smell, which is typical.
