Spam is perfect for breakfast! It’s quick, easy to prepare, and incredibly flavorful. Whether you fry it up crispy or keep it a little softer, it pairs wonderfully with eggs, toast, or even in a breakfast burrito. The savory, salty taste adds a deliciously satisfying element to any morning meal. I love how versatile it is—it's great for a hearty breakfast or even as a snack. Spam is definitely a go-to for me when I’m looking for a tasty, no-fuss breakfast option. Highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys a savory start to the day!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spam: Our ultimate pantry staple

We’re big fans of Spam! Whether pan-fried with bread in the morning or served with rice for lunch and dinner, it’s our go-to for a quick, satisfying meal. Its distinct salty, savory flavor is just so delicious! When we don’t have the time or energy to cook, a can of Spam, fried and paired with eggs and rice, makes an easy, hearty meal.Spam’s versatility is another reason we love it. We can whip up Spam fried rice, toss it into a macaroni salad, make a hearty Spam macaroni soup, or even create Spam musubi for a treat. It’s also incredibly popular in places like Hawaii, the Philippines, and parts of Asia. On a trip to Singapore, I was amazed to see varieties like jalapeno, bacon, hickory smoke, teriyaki, tocino, chorizo, and cheese. The first time I visited Hawaii, I found a similar selection, and in the Philippines, they even have giant 4lb cans of Spam! It just shows how beloved Spam is in some part of the world.I’ve tried some of these different flavors, but I always find myself coming back to the original, though I prefer the less sodium version. That’s why we always keep Spam stocked in our pantry. While some people store cans of sardines and tuna, we stock up on Spam! Whenever it goes on sale at Costco or Bolo, I make sure to grab a case to keep us covered for any meal or emergency.

We buy this low sodium Spam now that we have to cut back on salt. To me I am ok with this lower salt. I find that I fry this one more than the regular Spam. Just tastes better this way to me. Hubby can eat it right out of the can. Like numerous reviews have said Spam is a very versatile food( ? ) so far we haven’t had a bad can and hopefully not in the future. Oh and the other reason we buy lower sodium Spam on Bolo it is hard to find in our town.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great taste with less salt

    S.K. · December 6, 2024

I grew up eating Spam. It was exceedingly salty, but as a child, I loved it. Now I am extremely aware of the amount of salt I consume, so it has been many years since I ate Spam.I purchased Spam with 25% less salt because i was nostalgic. I am delighted! Great flavor, and just enough salt to flavor the meat but not overcome it. I cut some into a Ramen soup, YUM! I made some Hawaiian fried rice with it, YUM! I made some pasta with Spam, vegetables and Alfredo sauce, YUM!I will be purchasing Spam with 25% less salt again. If you like Spam but shy away from the excessive amount of salt, you should try this one.

Typical Spam but, not spicy at all! There’s a hint of a little something extra in the taste, but you can’t really put your finger on it. Disappointing.
