I chose this canister because it was airtight and was a beautiful combination of glass and bamboo. I loved and have used the original one I bought a few years ago so much that I've bought quite a few of these on repeat. This size is especially great - it's large enough for me to transfer a whole bag of flour and keep it fresh while looking pretty in my pantry. It's easy to use, and I just pop the glass part in the lower dishwasher rack, leave the bamboo lid on the top rack. No problems! They even include a gray rubber "foot" that slips over the bottom edge of the glass portion, so that it doesn't slide around and keeps it from clanking on a hard surface. I usually place the "foot" on the bottom but don't always - it's great either way. Terrific airtight storage that's also lovely and made of natural materials.

I was tired of using a large Mason jar for my sourdough starter - but there are so many "jars" that just didn't meet the need IMO - small openings, weird lids, etc - and this thing is PERFECT.It comes with a rubber "foot" - a great addition I did not see in the listing. Keeps it firmly planted on countertops, and adds some protection as well.The list is nice and tight - yet not a "hard seal" like some jars, so I can safely seal the jar with my culture in it, and if there's a lot of gas build-up as it ferments it will simply pop the top.It's WIDE open - I can get in there with a dough hook and mix everything with ease. The bottom is nice and square - a standard spatula can get in there and still ALL the contents without missing the bottom or sides because of a large radius.The glass is a nice, slippery borosilicate - things slide right off, and it cleans up with a simple rinse in no time at all.If you're looking to store stuff in it I am sure it's a great jar - but for me, it's sourdough starter Nirvana - my long search is over!!!

Was absolutely perfect for the Fruit salad Rainbow recipe I saw the girl using the same/similar glass jar and it had to be perfect cause I’m just like that. I got the 100oz one. Sturdy, clean clear glass. No divots or waving. Lid is really nice as well. If I need another in the future I will buy another for sure!

These canisters look great on my counter an are easy to clean. The lids seal very tight as well. I am using one to store my home made granola.

I have bought several things to hold sugar and flour. I do not like the taste of any food that’s been stored in plastic. My flour will pick up that smell and it transfers to my food.This has kept my flour fresh and improved the taste of my cookies and cakes.The cork top fits nicely and so far has kept out humidity even while this is next to my stovetop boiling potatoes. They seem to be as sturdy as any glass. I wouldn’t recommend throwing it on the floor.It’s light enough to move from the pantry to the work top. The top is great. I put scoops in it and it’s wide enough to scoop in. Enough space and very easy to do

I purchased these to fill with sugar and flour. A 3 pound bag of sugar fits just fine, it will not hold a 5 pound bag of flour, maybe 4 pounds. They look nice sitting on the counter, the rubber ring on the bottom of the jar, comes separate but fits on easily, and does keep the jar from moving/sliding.

I bought these to make stacked salads in. They are perfect!! Size is large to hold a bigger salad but can still do a smaller one not stacking as much veggies in. Nice lid seals well. Glass is a good sturdy thickness. I love these!

Looked online for a jar to store dry cat food, this one is perfect! It’s glass, it doesn’t shift at the bottom, stores about a few weeks cat dry food, the opening is big enough to get food out, the cap is sealed and made of wood. I’m really glad how it turned out.

The two glass containers fit into the cupboard perfectly and now contain flour and rice.

Love love love it! Its a bit pricey but worth the money!! It also comes with a silicone matto put underneath so it won't slip! Its think, durable and woody. Its well made really happy with the product.I bought it so i could put my sourdough in it so it wouldn't spill. It's still does but that's my fault! Lol
