I use this for cooking because it's more affordable than buying fresh and last longer. Shiitake are also a good source of copper, tastes delicious in homemade broths.

Really like to incorporate as many kinds of mushrooms in my diet as I can for health purposes (think Vitamin D among other things). I don't always keep fresh on hand, so by having the powdered, I can add a tablespoon or 2 to soups and casseroles. I also am a huge fan of mushroom tea, as well as adding a small amount to hot chocolate (honestly, I can't tell the difference in flavor!). This is the first time I have used this brand, but it compares favorably with others I have used and the price is right. I will be ordering this brand again.

This package of mushroom powder suggests mixing a scoop with a glass of warm water, but I prefer it for cooking. Shiitake mushrooms are a great source of certain nutrients and they taste delicious. This powder is perfect for seasoning a lot of different foods. It adds a savory flavor that gives a little punch to more than just Asian foods or broth. My goal is to use this powder to add more Ergothioneine to my diet. If you are not familiar with this nutrient, check out Nutrition Facts from Dr Michael Greger, he covers it very well with a video and transcript. Shiitake mushrooms are a high source of this nutrient. This package contains powder this seems to be processed well. It has a lot of flavor and aroma.

This stuff doesn’t taste great (it doesn’t taste horrible either). I mix it into my coffee along with some chocolate protein powder to mask the taste and it works great.

This product is so easy to add this amazing health beneficial ingredient to just about any meal idea. I have added it to so may it’s hard to deny how awesome it is. It enhances soups, pasta dishes, steak, chicken and I’ve even added it to mashed potatoes. The flavor is great and I really need to put it on my next order. It lasts a long time on light to moderate use. I could easily eat this every day it’s so versatile.

I happen to love Nutricost products because of their unbeatable price coupled with the fact that they don't sacrifice quality. This product is no different. When I am sick, I add this to my coffee and for powdered mushrooms, the taste is not bad at all. I would say its a subtle earthy flavor that is not bitter at all. Though I can't definitively conclude its efficacy in helping my immune system, for the price point and quality, it certainly doesn't hurt.

Purchased this after reading it was the main ingredient in ACHH a special mushroom blend that was supposed to boost your immune system and get rid of warts. The ACHH was expensive so I decided to try this.I had read somewhere online that the protocol of 3 grams a day had been used by some doctor and it treated the warts of most patients within 30 days or something like that. I've been doing just that and my wart on my thumb is now GONE. After years and years and multiple surgeries burning it off.Gotta say it's pretty amazing for that, my immune system must be quite good with this.Oh and it has a nice mild creamy taste... I like it!
