I bought this 16 oz canister to hold 14 ounces of instant coffee (did not even cross my mind to check what the ounces were for the canister.... liquid, much different!), lol, aside from that, there was also an issue with the lid. The ceramic canister is great, sturdy and the color was great; I chose Dark Turquoise, and it was not very dark, so I would assume that the regular turquoise is a very light blue. It came with 2 clear rubber gaskets. The wooden lid is not perfectly round on top. The part that sits inside, with the seal, is the same round shape, but the top part of the lid was cut in an odd shape, not totally round, uneven, not oblong. It was weird, visibly so, and I decided to return it. Outside of that off-shape on the lid, the canister was cute and sturdy. I am not sure that my review of the 28 oz canister made it through anywhere, so I added the photo here; that lid was much more round than the one on the 14 oz canister, quality control not great on these, but I still love them.

Perfect solution for our sugar bowl in Florida, where the crazy ants can find entry to any sugar container. Attractive and solid. I thought maybe it would move around or fall on the counter since I'm older and sometimes clumsy, but this is solid, attractive, easy to open and close. A tight fit with the washer, and it includes a spare washer. I didn't have the problem with closing it that some of the 1 star reviewers did. It closes easily. Very pretty too. Hard to decide which color to buy! Highly recommend!

Nice canisters. I purchased medium and small. One for my protein powder and one for sugar which both go in my morning coffee. These look nice on my counter.Yes, when putting the lid on, to make it stay down all the way, push down gently and give a little twist.

These do not hold an entire 5 lb bag of sugar but come close. The color is great and the ceramic or whatever the material is, is very heavy. The wooden lids are nice. I ordered two of these and one of the seals doesn't seem to suction at all as I lift it but it barely seems to seal. The other one seems to seal better. They did come with an extra seal which I haven't tried yet. If you scoop with a spoon you may need to tilt it a little bit. One thing to note is that I ordered two different of the light blue colors. I expected them to contrast a bit more but they are very similar although not the same. Just a noticeable difference in the blue so if you are trying to contrast blues make sure you order one that's quite different. I will update once I can look and see which colors I ordered. They look very similar in the photos which they are. There's literally no extreme contrast in the two. I ordered the bigger size. I like them but I would like to see one larger that would hold an entire can of coffee. No need to have a canister and half a can of coffee taking up space. These are perfect for what they are advertised for and they seem like good quality. No regrets. I may order some smaller ones later. They look exactly as they are pictured.

I purchased the jar from Bolo as an open box in good or excellent condition. Jar arrived and it was beautiful. It was to be used on my espresso bar for dog cookies. I washed it with soapy water and then affixed a graphic on the side. Later when my husband got home he mentioned the lid felt rather loose. It was then that I realized that the silicone piece around the inside lid was missing. It was too late to return otherwise I’d have to remove my graphic from the outside of the jar. I contacted the company for a replacement. I figured it wouldn’t be difficult for them to send me a ring that may have cost 5 cents to make. They asked for my order number etc and I sent them screenshots with the product as well as order number. Their response was there wasn’t anything they could do because I didn’t purchase directly from their store. I like the product well enough. It is beautiful and I get plenty of compliments but it would not work for human food grade items without the ring. I would have been happy to pay a small fee for postage to have the jar functioning as attended. But honestly with customer service like that I don’t think I would ever recommend them to another person.EDITED: After leaving this comment, SweeJar reached out to me again and apologized for the misunderstanding. Apparently when you buy the open box item from Bolo they don’t include the ring (Bolo failed to mention that part). So to make things right they immediately sent me out a new jar set. I feel pleased and satisfied with the solution and the quickness of making things right. I’m updating my review with 5 stars now!

It's a great looking piece. Flawless ceramic, handsome lid. However, "airtight" is an unrealized concept here. The lid/gasket refuses to remain closed, let alone provide an airtight seal.

So disappointed! Exactly what I wanted, bath the lid is split and rough so every time you open it, you cut your fingers.
Beautiful but the lid never seals
I use this to store my instant coffee and it's the perfect size. There's just one thing, it doesn't seal closed properly.
