My granddaughter loved it. She even fell in love with the box. She is 10 years old. I was very pleased with the whole thing. The packaging, the colors, the design, the extras and the cost. I also was impressed with the letter that came with it. It gave some history of the gift that I gave to my granddaughter and she really loved that.

The diaries are cute and the gift package is a great gift. Where this product shines is through their customer service. I bought two for my daughters and one had an issue with the lock. The customer service returned my email in a few hours and is shipping out a new one right away. I am so impressed! Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Update: The seller did get back to me and explained they had some issues with their email and offered a replacement. Was very friendly and could tell they really cared about resolving the issue. Would definitely buy again.The lock hasn’t worked once since we got it. However my daughter was so excited she started writing in it. Tried contacting customer service both via email and the form. No response.

I bought this for my 11-year-old niece who loves to write stories. She loved the journal's look and liked that it came in a case. She said she wishes the lines were larger so she could write more, but I think she was happy with it. However, a few days later the lock broke, which was a bummer.

I am updating this as I have since heard from the seller and they have offered to send me a keyed diary to replace the one we can't use. This was very generous, so I feel four stars is warranted. Their text to me was so sweet. I won't accept their offer, however, because this was not a defect in their product it was me purchasing an item too old for my granddaughter. This seller should not be without the money for their merchandise. I can't do that. I am, however going to purchase a keyed diary and a sketch pad for my other granddaughter. Thank you 'Life is a Doodle' !!!Unable to even use the journal because it won't open. No help from the seller and I am unable to get the 'dad's' video to work. So I am out $28 and my granddaughter has no birthday gift.. Very disappointed! Especially with no response from the sell to my two emails.
